Update September 15, 2012:

Never Stop Learning No Matter What. I read Crystal Reports, Excel, PowerPoint, and MySQL to refresh my knowledge. I'm currently learning Visio. I find time to learn something new. These skills and knowledge help me for my future career.

Speaking of books, I read The Hunger Games trilogy by Suzanne Collins and The Preserving Machine by Philip K. Dick.

Movies. I watched Titanic on IMAX 3D, Rango, Iron Man, The Hurt Locker, Bambi, The Avengers, Traffic, The Hunger Games, Scavenger Hunt, Run Lola Run, 10,000 BC, and The Dark Knight Rises.

Gym. My gym workouts have been improving since last month. Working out is a high priority in my life. My short-term goal is consistency--just go to the gym and do my workouts.

My brother got free tickets to watch an Oakland A's game. My parents, brother's family, and I watched the game. Seriously speaking, the A's needs a new baseball stadium.

I finished watching the following anime series: Mirai Nikki, Saki, Fate/Zero, and the K-On movie.

Fanime Con 2012. I had a good time attending the only anime con for the year. The highlights were the cosplay gatherings, playing Mahjong (Riichi), and the black & white dance. The lowlights were registration, the concert, and the first day in general. It was a slow start for many attendees. Wearing a neck wallet was a convenience.

Job Search Update. I was interviewed three times. Two of the interviews were for contract positions. The job market continues to be tough. I continue to search for a job and continue learning new job skills. I continue to updated and edit my resume and cover letter. There is always a better way. I recently edited my resume and rewrote my cover letter. I'm receiving more interest in me; unfortunately, no solid interviews. I'm looking for a business or research analyst position or a support position.

I installed a SSD drive and installed Windows 7 on my laptop. 20 seconds to boot up. I use my laptop for basic uses: internet, Microsoft Office, watching videos. I no longer play video games on my laptop.

New Adventures And New Sights. Take a look where I visited for the for the first time:

  • Urban hiked along The Embarcadero in San Francisco. First time visits included China Basin, South Park, and Coit Tower on Telegraph Hill. I also rode a trolley for the first time.
  • Hoover Tower in Stanford University.
  • Felton Covered Bridge Park in Felton, CA.
  • Hiked in Portola Redwoods State Park in La Honda, CA.
  • Watched a meteor shower.
  • Played Bingo paying money for a card at the San Jose Obon Festival.

Finally, the updates:

Update April 15, 2012:

Board games are fun. I memorized all the hands and learned how to score for MahJong (Riichi). I play the Japanese version. I played lots of new board games for the first time. They are Quarriors, Chez Geek, Android, Cosmic Encounter, Forbidden Island, RISK Legacy, Tanto Cuore, Jab, and Fealty.

Job skills and job searching. I continue to learn job skills as I find a new job. I'm looking for jobs as a business analyst or research analyst, a lease administrator or a support position in real estate, or an entry level accountant. I refresh my Crystal Reports skills and self-teach myself MySQL in the meantime. I applied SQL for my new Access expense database.

I still have time reading recreational books. I read Around The World In Eighty Days by Jules Verne, The Invention of Hugo Cabret by Brian Selznick, Animal House by George Orwell, The Adventures Of Sherlock Holmes by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, and The Rescuers by Margery Sharp.

New Christmas Tree. My family and I got a new Christmas tree. It was a small artificial tree with LED color lights. Christmas 2011 was the best family Christmas since 2008. I went to San Francisco for New Year's Eve 2012.

Good anime series. There have been good anime series. I finished Tiger & Bunny, Redline, Ben-to, Ika Musume season 2, Working season 2, Thermae Romae, Ano Natsu De Matteru, Rinne No Lagrange, Another, Nisemonogatari, and The Secret World of Arrietty (Kari-gurashi no Arietti). Ben-to is on my all-time favorite list. Similarly, I found a Mikunopolis CD at Kinokuniya-San Francisco.

Nor Cal Cosplay Spring Gathering. I attended the gathering at Kelley Park in San Jose. I cosplayed Allen Walker. I want to thank my mom for repairing a minor accident on the costume. Pictures are coming on my next update.

Movies in the theaters and at home. I watched Serenity, Mr. Smith Goes To Washington, Hugo, Transporter 3, In Time, Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol, Tangled, Moneyball, Kung Fu Panda, Kung Fu Panda 2, The Princess & The Frog, and Cheap Life and James Becker: Not Dead Yet movies at Cinequest.

I finished Half-Life 2 seven years later. It took me 26 hours to complete. I'm playing Half-Life 2: Episode 1. It's going to take a while to finish.

There is always time for new places to visit. I went hiking to new and familiar trails including Edgewood Park & Preserve and Stevens Creek Trail. There are new trails to hike coming soon. I shopped at the Alemany Farmer's Market in San Francisco's Bernal Heights. I shopped at a Costco Business Center that is open to all members. And on the cooking side, I cooked with Garlic Herb & Seasoning and Yoshida's for the first time.

Update December 27, 2011:

Uploaded Steve Jobs' "Do What You Love" speech at Stanford University on 2005. Click here for the speech.

Update November 7, 2011:

It's been at least ten months since I last updated my life on my webpage. I want to thank everyone who visited my website. The statistics state my cooking and cosplay pages are the most visited. Thank you again!

Ending 2010. I ended 2010 riding the San Francisco Cable Car for the first time. Alien Cat and I rode the cable car from Market & Powell to Fishermen's Wharf at Hyde & Beach. I believe everyone should ride the cable car once in their lives. There are beautiful San Francisco scenes along the ride. The cable car was the first of many San Francisco activities heading to next year.

In 2011, we shopped at Union Square, walked in Chinatown, walked on the Golden Gate Bridge, ate at the San Francisco Food Festival, visited The Palace of Fine Arts, shopped at Filmore and Union Streets, and hiked at Angel Island State Park.

More Wisdom From Books. I read classics, juvenile, and today's best sellers:

  • Lord Of The Flies by William Golding
  • Hogfather by Terry Pratchett
  • Tales Of A Fourth Grade Nothing by Judy Blume
  • Superfudge by Judy Blume
  • The Old Man And The Sea by Ernest Hemingway
  • To Kill A Mocking Bird by Harper Lee
  • The Catcher In The Rye by J.D. Salinger
  • The Wind In The Willows by Kenneth Grahame
  • Outliers by Malcolm Gladwell
  • The Season by Patricia Hornung and Robin Moore

Earned An AA Degree. I finished De Anza College earning an AA degree in Accounting in Mar. 2011. I took Auditing in Spring '11 to finish the 2010-2011 academic year. I took a class on Quickbooks at Mission College. I'm searching for a job which is hard because of the slow economy.

I'm going to miss checking out DVDs at the De Anza library. I watched Chinatown, Rear Window, The Philadelphia Story, On The Waterfront, Jaws, King Kong (original), Singin' In The Rain, and A Streetcar Named Desire. And I'm going to miss the Social Dance classes.

In the theaters, I watched The Adjustment Bureau, X-Men: First Class, The Maltese Falcon, and Driver.

Tabletop Games. I played new board games for the first time: Guesstures, Set, Perplex City, 7-Wonders, Turns & Taxis, Citadel, Pandemic: On The Brink, Looting London, Scrabble Slam, Amorica, Race To The Galaxy, RA, and High Society. Playing board games with the guys and Alien Cat's game nights are always fun.

The game deserving special attention is MahJong. I play the Japanese version or Riichi. I'm still a beginner improving significantly. I memorized all the hands and learned how to score. I purchased my own set in Dec. 2010.

New Adventures In Hiking. Alien Cat and I like hiking. It's one of our favorite hobbies. We hiked part of Bay Front Park, Stanford University's The Dish trail, Coyote Point, Shoreline Park, Pulgas Ridge Open Preserve, Edgewood Park & Preserve and Rancho San Antonio.

I continue to find time watching anime given new interests and a change in activities. Some of the anime I finished are Ika Musume, Welcome To The NHK, Star Driver, Kimi Ni Todoke second season, Dog Days, Ano Hana, A Channel, Madoka Magica, No. 6, and Kamisama Dolls.

2011 Anime Conventions. I attended Fanime Con and Anime Expo. I debuted Medic from Team Fortress 2, my first video game cosplay. I want to thank my mom and dad for making the cosplay. This is my last year I attend Anime Expo yearly.

I also participated in the 2011 Northern California Cherry Blossom Parade. I wore my Syaoran from Tsubasa Chronicles cosplay.

First Woot T-shirt. The shirt is the nine planets on branches of a single tree.

Too Sick. I was sick three times. The first time was in Mar. It was serious I needed to visit an urgent care center on a Sat. I visited my primary doctor ten days later because I needed more anti-biotics. The last time I visited my primary doctor was Mar. 2008. I had Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV). I realized the anti-biotics did little to help me recover. It might have made me worse.

The second time I was sick happened while I attended Anime Expo in July. I was introduced to daily vitamins for the first time. Thank you tsubasa for the vitamins. I made the best of Anime Expo despite being sick. Two of the four days I attended the convention center for half of a day. I believed it was allergies from the Los Angeles air and the cold nights in the hotel room. I recovered quickly days after I came home.

The third time I was sick happened in Sept. I had another RSV. It took me one week to recover. It must be the daily vitamins that helped me recover fast.

I blogged my March and September RSV. Click links for Mar. RSV and Sept. RSV

My first live hockey game at the HP Pavilion. It was also the first time I entered the HP Pavilion and first time I watched a live major sports playoff game. The San Jose Sharks defeated the Los Angeles Kings 3-2 in overtime.

New Smart Phone. I purchased the Motorola Droid X2 two days before Verizon ended the unlimited bandwidth on new contracts.

Farewell Borders. My last purchased was Vivaldi's Four Seasons CD.

Four years late. I played Portal four years later after purchasing The Orange Box. Portal is a great game with simple ideas. Anyone can play Portal regardless of video game experience. You need a little eye-hand coordination and some logic thinking.

More first times: Sang karaoke in a karaoke booth, bowled since 2007, ate at Fresh Choice since 2001, attended the Mountain View arts & crafts fairs, attended the Menlo Park street fair, watched a movie outdoors which was Indian Jones And The Last Crusade, attended the Gilroy Garlic Festival, ate at Sizzler since 2005, ate at Wienerschnitzel, and rode BART inside the Trans Bay Tube.

I believe one of the greatest ways to enjoy life is to try different foods and drinks. I ate at many restaurants for the first time such as Banana Leaf, Potsticker King, Aqui, Verde Tea, Holder's Country Inn, Yiassoo Greek, and Siam Royal. I tried new foods and drinks such as Gatorade Frost Glacier Freeze, eating Pop Tarts cold, Baby Ruth crisp candy bar, Hansen's Mandarin Lime, Captain Crunch cereal, Milano Mint and Raspberry cookies, Swedish pancake, and a pizza combo of bell peppers, pineapple, and onion.

Board games are one of my favorite hobbies. I played Pandemic, Monopoly card game Deal, Puerto Rico, Alhambra, Master's Gallery, and telephone Pictionary for the first time. I won my first mahjong (riichi) match. And I purchased my own Japanese mahjong set.

The best summer moment took place on Sat July 10. I went to the Paul McCartney's Up and Coming concert at AT&T Park in San Francisco. The last time McCartney and The Beatles played in San Francisco was their last concert before the split up. I also went to the San Jose Jazz Festival, hiked at the Monte Bello and Los Trancos, visited the Moaning and California Caverns, and visited the California Academy of Sciences. The last activity was visiting Monterey and Carmel.

My Gaming PC crashed. My friend Appu helped me fixed my PC and installed Windows 7 on my new 1TB hard drive. The 1TB hard drive was also used to install StarCraft 2. I planned to purchase a 1TB hard drive. Installing Windows 7 made me purchase the 1TB hard drive earlier.

Movie Time. I watched This Is Spinal Tap (lol!), Inception, Toy Story 3, Mao's Last Dance, Midnight Cowboy, The French Connection, One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest, Vertigo, Yankee Doodle Dandy, Some Like It Hot, The Manchurian Candidate, Bolt, and Rosemary's Baby.

A new hobby I started was ice skating. I started ice skating lessons in August. I enjoyed ice skating I purchased my own pair. I continue to take ice skating lessons next year.

First Threadless T-shirt. I purchased my first Threadless t-shirt. It was Pillow Fight. I still need to get my first Woot! t-shirt. All the good ones I wanted always sold out quickly.

Congratulations to the San Francisco Giants for winning the 2010 World Series. Buster Posey is the man!

Update May 2, 2010:

I begin with my webpage updates:

New Hiking Adventures. I hiked at two new places. The first was Point Lobos in Carmel, CA. Point Lobos is an easy trail for families. You see a little bit of everything include the ocean, trees, plants, animals, birds, and flat areas. The second was Pinnacles National Monument in Paicines, CA. We went inside a cave. We brought flashlights.

Anime. I finished Kimi Ni Todoke, Kobato, and Sora No Woto. And I re-watched by marathoning Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha A's.

Spring '10 Quarter. So far, it's going good. I'm not taking the quarter for granted. I took three mid-terms and a quiz last week. I still have lots of work. I'm taking Managerial Accounting, Business Law, Cost Accounting, and Social Dance classes.

Movies. I purchased the Avatar BD and DVD combo. I watched the battle scenes only, lol. I haven't watched a movie in the theatres this year.

I attended the San Francisco Cherry Blossom Festival. I cosplayed Edward Elric wearing leather pants for the first time in my life and a new pair of boots. I also attended the Imagine Dance Event in Alameda, CA.

Vocaloid. I got a Vocaloid CD as a gift. It was my first Vocaloid. The music is fantastic. I plan to get more.

Update March 31, 2010:

Ending The Year On A Sad Note. I stayed home on New Year's Eve because of the stomach flu I got on Christmas Day. I recovered just in time for . . .

. . . Winter '10 Quarter. The quarter I forgot. I got sick on Chinese New Year and the quarter went downhill. I failed to recover. I got behind in everything in and out of school. Fortunately, I finished all my assignments before finals and I passed my classes. The first day of class nobody wanted to be on campus including the instructors. I'm on spring vacation.

It's Great. I watched Riverdance. Irish music is great. I ate chili for the first time on New Year's Day. I realized I like Italian food. My highest speed on the treadmill is 6.2mph. I ice skated for the first time at the Sharks Ice Centre. I'm thinking about taking ice skating lessons. I updated and posted my resume and cover letter at the online job websites I search for jobs. And I realized I'm a good guy.

Movies. I watched Sherlock Holmes. I'm interested in reading some of the books. I watched Idiocracy in DVD a friend gave me for Christmas. I avoid Carl's Jr. because I don't want to be an idiot. And I watched Avatar. Great CGI. Poor plot.

Finished the following anime: Gurren Lagann, Kannagi, Umineko No Naru Koro Ni, The Sacred Blacksmith, and Nyan Koi. I'm about four chapters behind in Bleach manga and two chapters behind in Fullmetal Alchemist. I'm behind in many chapters for D.Gray Man.

I attended the Nor Cal Cosplay Spring Gathering at Hakone Gardens in Saratoga, CA. I cosplayed Haku from Spirited Away.

I want to dance more. A requirement for my dance class was attending the Dance-A-Thon fundraiser at the Starlite Ballroom in Mountain View, CA. For $20, we got three lessons and the option to stay for the regular events at night. I arrived at 3:30pm and went home at 10:45pm.

And my webpage updates:

Update January 29, 2010:

Small update. I added three more pics for the Nor Cal Summer Gathering at My Cosplay.

Update December 28, 2009:

One of the best moments in my life. My braces were removed. I wore my braces between Jan 17, 2007 to Aug 19, 2009. I have a beautiful smile.

Dancing is great! I continue taking dance lessons at De Anza and getting lessons from my sister. I learned nite-club two step and east coast swing. I improved fox trot, tango, waltz, cha cha cha, and salsa. I want to make time to take the free salsa lessons Thur night hopefully if . . .

. . . my classes at De Anza favors me for free time. I took Accounting 1A that is Financial Accounting I in Fall '09. It looks like I'm going to major in Accounting for my second degree. Winter '10 I'm taking Accounting 1B that is Financial Accounting II, Peachtree Software training, and Payroll and Business taxes. I'm also taking Social Dancing of course and Beginning Singing. Beatles Rock Band!

Video Games. Speaking of Beatles Rock Band, I'm the singer when I play Beatles Rock Band. My friends are good at guitar, bass, and drums. That leaves me being the singer. I hope taking singing at De Anza improves my singing. I have been playing less TF2 which is good because I have other hobbies, activities, and priorities.

Hiking. I purchased new clothing, boots, hat, and a new backpack that I use as my everyday backpack. I started to hike at Castle Rock State Park. I'm looking forward to hike at new places.

A basket of new experiences:

  • Played Weiss Schwarz, a Japanese card game with anime characters.
  • Learned how to play Egyptian War, Liverpool Rummy, Gin Rummy, Bomb, and Cribbage. I also learned Japanese Mahjong (Riichi). Played Rat A Tat Cat, Lifeboat, and Balderdash board games.
  • New foods and drinks: falafel, Cinnabon, Pho, gelato, Waffle Crisp cereal, San Pellegrino, Qoo, 5 Gum, Pocari Sweat, cinnamon raisin bagel at New York Bagels, New York pizza at a legit New York pizza restaurant, Toblerone, chocolate milk, grits, and protein bars.
  • I brush my teeth left handed and I clean my tongue with a tongue cleaner afterwards.

Movies. 2009 was a year I watched lots of movies. In no particular order, I watched Memento, Revenge of the Nerds (childhood memory), Blue Hawaii, IP Man, Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country, Star Trek (2009), UP!, Transformers 2, District 9, All Quiet In The Western Front (1930), Citizen Kane, Gunfight at the OK Corral, Inglorious Bastards, 9, Blues Brothers (first time in its entirety), Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs, Where The Wild Things Are, Psycho, Casablanca, Amadeus, Point Break, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Mr. Bean's Holiday, The Princess Bride, and The Fantastic Mr. Fox.

Washington Canada '09. My friend from Washington and I planned the Washington Canada '09 trip last minute. We planned the trip in middle Nov. The vacation took place Sun Dec 13-Thur Dec 17. Highlights included movie marathons, visiting the Kinokuniya Bookstore in Seattle, and visiting Victoria, BC, Canada. We did a good job watching our expenses.

Let's talk anime. First, anime cons. I attended Fanime Con and Anime Expo. Fanime '09 was the best Fanime ever for me and perhaps the entire history of Fanime. I started attending Fanime in 1997. Everything started on time, everyone was friendly, and everyone were themselves. Anime Expo was good. I made mistakes I correct for AX'10. After AX, I visited Little Tokyo for the first time.

Second, anime series. I'm taking a break reading books and spending lots of time watching anime. I finished watching Strawberry Marshmallow, K-On, 07-Ghost, Haruhi II, Tokyo Magnitude 8.0, and Bakemonogatari (TV). I'm currently watching FMA 2, Bleach, The Sacred Blacksmith, Nyan Koi, Umineko No Naku Koro Ni, Kimi Ni Todoke, and Kobato. I'm going to catch up on the FMA and Bleach mangas.

Third, cosplay gatherings. I attended the summer gathering at Kelly Park in San Jose. I debuted Ikkaku Madarame from Bleach. And I attended the winter gathering at Christmas In the Park in Downtown San Jose. I cosplayed Xmas version Hitsugaya. Pics are available at My Cosplay. I couldn't attend the fall gathering.

I read The Invention of Hugo Cabret by Brian Selznick. I predict a movie based on Hugo Cabret. I reread Seinlanguage by Jerry Seinfeld. I thought the book was not funny the second time I read it. I read the classic The Princess Bride by William Goldman. I read Inkheart by Cornelia Funke. I plan to read Inkspell and Inkdeath, parts II and III. And I read Q&A by Vikas Swarup, the book that inspired Slumdog Millionaire.

I feel weak missing a workout. I feel sad and angry I miss a workout at the gym. 2009 has its ups and downs regarding my workouts. I run on the treadmill at 6.0 for 30 minutes. My maximum bench press is 200lbs. I follow two beginning workouts. One is machines and the second is free weights. If I feel tired yet able to workout, I use the machine workout. And I found two more beginning workouts I like to try for 2010. The downside is the inconsistent workouts. There are weeks my workouts are inconsistent for anything that happened beyond my control. I established a workout schedule, and three weeks later, my schedule is trashed. The latest is I got the stomach flu on Christmas Day.

Day trips:

  • Charles M. Schulz museum in Santa Rosa, CA. There is a replica of Schulz's workspace.
  • San Jose Jazz Festival in Downtown San Jose. My first jazz festival.
  • Sister's dance competitions in Millbrae and Sacramento. She won first place in her major competitions.
  • Monterey Jazz Festival in Monterey, CA. Overpriced IMO. San Jose was better.
  • Me time in San Francisco. I walked in Pier 39, Fisherman's Warf, Ghirardelli Square, and Japantown.
  • Gilroy Gardens in Gilroy, CA. A kiddie theme park.

Update May 6, 2009:

Let's start with the continuing bad news. I'm still unemployed. I've been sending resumes to positions I'm qualified, underqualified, and overqualified. I've been getting spam email for positions I'm not interested such as sales. Ignore the emails *__* From my experience, an employer calls you when you're a good candidate for the job.

I want to congratulate Innovate Infinitely for being on the web for five years. May 1, 2009 was the 5th anniversary. Congrats!!! I continue to improve the website big and small XD

The new clothes include new underwear. I purchased new boxers from The Gap and Calvin Klein ^__^ I stop purchasing packaged boxers. And I started my new spring and summer clothes. No more polo shirts and plain white t-shirts. The new me continues to be developed =)

Spring '09 classes at De Anza. I'm taking Strength Development and Social Dance at De Anza college. I have all the time in the world. The classes are going good. I learned a new warmup workout and trying a new weight workout from www.bodybuilding.com. I dropped Beginning Japanese. The class was too fast. I'm self studying and I retake the class in Fall '09.

Dancing. At De Anza, I learned the Cha Cha Cha. My sister taught me the Fox Trot and Waltz. She's teaching me the Tango. I'm learning the West Coast Swing now at De Anza.

Movies in theatres and at home. In 2008, I watched Jumper, the only movie I saw in theatres. I saw Coraline 3D in theatres. I'm thinking about watching more 2009 summer movies that look really good. I watched Hellboy II, Transformers, Mememto, and Black Hawk Down in Blu Ray. I watched Slumdog Millionaire and The Rocky Horror Picture Show in DVD. I'm considering reading the Slumdog Millionaire book.

Speaking of books, I read "Coraline" by Neil Gaiman. Great book! Grown-ups must consider reading young adult books, lol. My wish list includes young adult books ;) And I read "Love Walked In" by Marisa De Los Santos. I'm currently not reading books at the moment because . . .

. . . I'm making another costume. I'm making another cosplay who is Haku from Spirited Away. My Mom is giving me sewing lessons. In June, I'm going to make a baby dress for my niece. The baby dress is an easy project for a beginner. My Mom continues to teach me. I'm considering sewing a higher priority than Japanese =)

Wearing my cosplay. I attended the Nor Cal cosplay photoshoot gathering in Hakone Japanese Garden in Saratoga, CA. I cosplayed Edward Elric from Fullmetal Alchemist. And I attended the 2009 Northern California Cherry Blossoms Festival in San Francisco, CA. I cosplayed Toushiro Hitsugaya from Bleach. For my Syaoran from Tsubasa Chronicles cosplay, I purchased new boots. No more military boots :D

Anime. I finished Toradora and Clannad: After Story. Clannad is on my all time favorite anime series list. I'm currently watching Fullmetal Alchemist 2, White Album, Tears to Tiara, and K-ON. I like to have more time to watch more series. I started to read Black Cat. And I'm catching up on the Fullmetal Alchemist, Tsubasa Chronicles, and Bleach comics (manga).

Getting handsome. I continue taking accutane for my acne and blackheads. The treatment seems to be working. The last checkup my dermatologist says I have just over 50% my treatment is successful the first round. And I continue to wear braces. I've worn my braces since Jan 2007 :-{}

Hiking. I went hiking at Uvas Canyon County Park in Morgan Hill, CA. The last time I hiked was Yosemite in 1995 XD The trail is easy. I plan to visit many times and walk the additional trails.

Facebook. I created a Facebook (FB) account. I have mixed feeling. FB is great to keep in touch with family and friends I don't see often. Many people treat FB as a twitter. I try to update my FB once a week. Unfortunately, the last time I logged on to FB was Fri Apr 24. I update my status ASAP including posting what I have done since Fri Apr 24, upload more pics, and confirm more family and friends. I confirm family and friends at least I fairly know well.

Finally, the webpage updates:

Update March 11, 2009:

Starting with the bad news. I already told my friends and family. Now I tell the world. I'm unemployed. My contract at Cisco was terminated due to budget cuts in Nov 2008. My attitude is "maybe it's for the best." The job market is terrible. I want to earn a second degree. I don't know what. I'm thinking nursing to be a hospice (I think a nursing degree is required to be a hospice), accounting, or finance.

The second bad news is I got sick in Jan 2009. I got the superbug, the sickness that no antibiotics work against. I was sick for about four weeks. I got the superbug in 2008 that lasted much longer. I feel better today.

Now let's get to the good news and good stuff. I have plenty to share ^__^ The webpage updates are mentioned last XD

Music. I became interested in classic jazz such as Louie Armstrong, Bill Evans, Billie Holiday, Duke Ellington, Stan Getz, and Charles Mingus. I'm looking forward to my first jazz festival whether it's today's jazz and/or classic jazz :D I also purchased Porcelain by Helen Jane Long. Highly recommended! I'm still listening to classic rock and classical music. And I purchased my first Frank Sinatra CD "Seduction, Sinatra Sings of Love." I purchased the CD to help me self-practice ballroom dancing.

Ballroom dancing? Yup, ballroom dancing. My sister moved back home to go back to school. One of her hobbies is she dances competitively. During her spare time, she teaches me ballroom dancing. I'm learning the fox trot and the waltz. I want to learn more including the tango and cha cha cha.

Anime. The latest anime from Japan overall stinks. I finished Gai-Rei Zero, Akane iro Ni Somaru Saka, Natsume Yuujin Chou, Nogizaku Haruka no Himitsu, and ToLove RU. I'm still watching Bleach, Clannad: After Story, and Toradora. I stopped watching Chaos Head and Earl and Fairy. From my DVD collection, I watched The Place Promised In Our Early Days and Voices Of A Distant Star. Voices Of A Distant Star joined my all-time favorite anime list.

I caught up with the Tsubasa Chronicles comic (manga). Lots of questions answered and plenty of action. I now catch up with Full Metal Alchemist. Bleach and Nana follow next.

I participated in three costume (cosplay) events. The first was at the Winchester Mystery House and at my workplace on Halloween. The second was Anime Palace's Xmas party 20% off everything in the store. The third was Christmas In the Park in Downtown San Jose.

Movies. I took advantage of $4 and $5 DVDs at Fry's Electronics and Best Buy between Oct'08 and Dec'08. I watched Goodfellas, Hot Fuzz (an all-time favorite), The 40 Year Old Virgin, Transporter 2, and Ben Hur. I also watched The Godfather trilogy (an all-time favorite), A View To A Kill, and The Departed. The Summer'08 movies I watched The Dark Knight (an all-time favorite) and Hancock in DVD. I didn't watch the summer movies in the theatres. I purchased X-Men II, Die Hard, Mr. Mom, and Revenge Of The Nerds DVDs for $4. And I purchased Disney/Pixar Cars which became an all-time favorite after I watched for the second time.

TV. Very little to mention regarding television. I rarely watch primetime TV. I watch an occasion Seinfeld rerun. I watch much more sports than primetime. I purchased Simpsons Season 8 and Family Guy Volume 5 DVD sets. Overall, I watch little television.

Why do I spend little time watching TV? I read books. I started getting into fiction in Oct'08 because the business books I read recently discussed similar concepts from books I read earlier. I read The Road by Cormac McCarthy and The Choice by Nicholas Sparks. I also read Dear Mr. Henshaw by Beverly Cleary, a book I always wanted to read when I was little. I continue to read non fiction. I read Uncle John's Great Big Bathroom Reader by the Bathroom Readers' Institute and Who Moved My Cheese by Spencer Johnson (an all-time favorite). I continue to read more fiction than non-fiction indefinitely.

Outside of the house with family and friends :3

  • I hang out with my friends Friday night and a few weekends. We play board games, talk about the latest anime and video games, and discuss anything random from current events to our families.
  • I visited my friend Steve who lives in Washington Nov 15-20, 2008. We went to Seattle and Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. The highlights included visiting Hurricane Ridge, playing Betrayal At the House On The Hill, The Underground Tour in Downtown Seattle, and shopping for books. I also climbed the indoor wall at REI in Downtown Seattle.
  • My friend Arashii visited the Bay Area during the Thanksgiving holiday. We ate breakfast in Campbell and went to the Santa Cruz Boardwalk and pier on Fri. We talked about how life treated us, random philosophy, and how our 2008 year went.
  • Appu, gmontem, and I visited The Buttery Bakery in Santa Cruz on Dec 6, 2008. The Buttery is one of the last true bakeries in the Bay Area. After The Buttery, we shopped around for tech goodies and visited Barnes & Noble.
  • I mentioned the Anime Palace Xmas party. After the party, I hung out with Chun, Spiritsnare, and Tsubasa.
  • On Dec 22, 2008, my Dad, Uncle, Aunt, and I visited the California Academy of Science Museum in Golden Gate Park in San Francisco. The museum was packed with families and their kids on winter vacation. The museum opened in late Sep 2008. We were lucky to get tickets for a 3D bug show. The tickets for the planetarium were gone in just two hours. Worth going big time ^__^
  • Thanksgiving and Christmas 2008 holidays with family were the best in a long, long time for me =) For example, I brought back the traditional movies Planes, Trains & Automobiles for Thanksgiving and National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation for Christmas. The emotion, the happy feelings, the togetherness were present. I really couldn't explain why. My family and I spent the holidays at my brother's house.
  • After Christmas, one of my Uncle's family visited from Los Angeles. We toured Stanford University and UC Berkeley. I played Settlers of Catan with my two cousins. We ended the after Xmas vacation at my brother's house.
  • New Year's Eve 2009 Appu and I went to San Francisco to watch the fireworks at Pier 2. New Year's Eve 2010 we invite all of our friends to join us, and we correct the mistakes we did including parking and better location to watch the fireworks.
  • For Chinese New Year, one of my Uncle's family living in the Bay Area and my brother and his son visited our house. We had a big meal and I played Settlers of Catan with my three cousins. The second game was exciting and we were into it ^O^

Family has a new PC. On Dec 29, 2008, my Dad helped me build a new PC for me and the family. I named the new PC the Gaming PC because I wanted a new PC to play video games. I only have time to play Team Fortress 2 (TF2). I purchased Crysis just to test out the system. The graphics are amazing! My first hardware was the power supply on Oct 27. My last hardware were the flat panel, optical drive, RAM, case, and hard drive on Dec 29. Thank you Dad for your assistance. Thank you gmontem and Appu for the gaming keyboard as a Christmas gift.

The PC was completed with all software installed and moved to my room the last week of Jan'09. Here are the Gaming PC specs: Intel Q9300 2.5 GHz CPU, ATI Radeon HD 4850 512MB GDDR3, Crucial Ballistix RAM (DDR2 2X2GB PC6400 800 MHz CL 4-4-4-12), Western Digital 640GB SATA 7200 RPM 16MB buffer, ASUS P5Q Deluxe DDR2 1200 FSB 1600, and Samsung T260 25.5 inch LCD.

Building the Gaming PC was good experience for me learning more about computers. I rate my PC skills as average. I know enough PC knowledge to troubleshoot most basic problems. I was given another opportunity to gain more computer experience. I converted my cousin's new laptop from Vista to XP. It took me an entire day. I was successful ^__^

As for TF2 and Crysis, I played Crysis here and there in late Jan-Feb and I started playing TF2 again since Mar 1. I didn't play video games between Xmas and late Jan ;)

Clean up the house. I mentioned my sister moved back home. The entire house went through a cleaning and reorganization. My room, that is also a second family room, got the best cleaning and reorganization. I got rid of junk, donated useless items, and recycled old PC hardware.

A whole lotta me being new. Lots of new experiences and new items for a new me.

  • New clothes. Out with the old and in with the new. I donated all my old casual shirts, old ties, and hooded sweatshirts I worn since, damn, 1998. My old jacket is in my car for emergency clothes. I kept my dress shirts, dress slacks, and casual slacks that are still good. I purchased new sport shirts, jacket, two pairs of casual boots, leather jacket, top coat, and scarf. The new clothing I purchased between Oct-Dec'08 taking advantage of sales and coupons during the recession $-) I still have my spring and summer clothing that I donate when the spring clothing are available.
  • New watch. A man must own a stainless steel watch. I now have one. I purchased a Citizen watch in early Dec'08. I wear my digital watch when working out at the gym.
  • New workout. Speaking of gym, I'm following a new beginning weight workout from bodybuilding.com. Two days of weights and one day cardio consisting of treadmill and stationary cycle. I stretch out before I go to the gym. My weight dropped from 175 pounds to 168 pounds as of Mar 3, 2009. Also, no more white t-shirts I have worn since 1998. I'm wearing new gym workout shirts to keep my dry. I wore new gym shorts and new cross trainer shoes since mid 2008.
  • New mattress. I purchased a new mattress on Dec 26, 2008. It's a Sealy Posturepedic Reserve "Glen Marie" plush. I purchased three new 400 thread count bed sheets in Oct-Nov'08. I slept in my old mattress since junior high school. I also purchased a new down pillow on Feb 28, 2009. New sheets, new pillow, new mattress equals no tossing and no turning. I use my old pillow and my new pillow to sleep with two pillows that I heard improves sleep (-,-)
  • New face. In time, I'm going to have a new face. A new face gives me more confidence, a new outlook on life, and assists me in meeting new people. First, my braces are almost done. If everything goes well, my braces are removed as late as May'09. I plan to use white stripes to whiten my teeth. Second, I began treatment for my acne and blackheads. I'm taking accutane prescribed by my dermatologist since Feb 6, 2009. And third, I started shaving with an electric razor on Jan 21, 2009. No more electric shavers. I recently learn how to shave my face for a close shave ~~ I use the Gillette Fusion Power. I want to try the Gillette Fusion without the power.

I'm elsewhere on the web. The following are websites I post blogs or have accounts open for everyone to view :D

  • Innovating Common Knowledge My first blog. I post ideas and thoughts to innovate your life and daily happenings.
  • Finding Raymond Mar My second blog. I'm growing up. Most of the posts I share positives everyday. I ask myself questions and answer them to find more about myself.
  • My Steam My Steam account to play Team Fortress 2 (TF2). I don't have time playing other games T__T
  • My Yelp Read my reviews including restaurants, beauty, and major events.
  • My cosplay.com Another site to view my cosplay pics.
  • My cosplaylab.com Less popular, but still well known cosplay website.
  • My YouTube Watch my uploaded videos.
  • My half.com I'm currently selling no books and DVDs.

Finally, the webpage updates:

  • Family Photo Album More pics of me. Lots more ^__^ Washington Canada'08, family, and myself.
  • Police Car Photo Album New police cars from Seattle, Washington, Washington State Police, and Victoria, British Columbia, Canada.
  • My Cosplay More pics again this time in costume. Halloween and Christmas gatherings.
  • About Me I rewrote the entire About Me. I elaborated the current me and shared in more detail my interests and hobbies. I removed the schools I attended and goals. The reason I removed the goals is I don't know what I'm doing now and what I want to do in the future. I live the present, live one day at a time. I create goals when I find my desire and future path to success.

However, I want to close full circle some open goals. I completed the following goals started on Aug 3, 2008: read three books, exercise, and build a new PC. I'm going to close my five year goal being technology competent started on Aug 3, 2004 because I built a new PC and converted my cousin's laptop from Vista to XP. I know my tech skills are average. I feel it's the time to close the goal.

  • Top Ten I added my Innovating Common Knowledge 300th blog highlighting my top 30 blogs. I removed the top ten favorite classic rock songs and top 31 personal values. The top 30 blogs are more powerful than my top 31 personal values for the lessons in life I learned.
  • About ININ I rewrote the entire About Innovate Infinitely. It's condensed and to the point !(^^)!
  • Economics 101 OMG, I updated Economics 101! I helped a friend with supply and demand. I drew charts for my friend. I added supply and demand concepts including the charts.
  • Favorite Quotes Removed some quotes.
  • Anime Page Removed Anime CD, Anime DVD, and Anime Fan.
  • Links I added a few new links in eCommerce, Entertainment, Information, Miscellaneous, and Technology.

Update October 19, 2008:

New PC. I started to research my new home and gaming PC for my family and I. I went to Fry's on Sat Oct 18 with my friends gmontem and Appu ^__^ to get information and list the hardware I purchase. I still have more work to do including finding the best prices online. I don't have many PC games since I'm more of a casual gamer. Team Fortress 2 (TF2) is the first game I played online; however, other priorities and work prevent me playing for the last three weeks. I also played Command & Conquer and Starcraft which I suck. Crysis sounds really tempting, LOL! I plan to resume reading books after my new PC is built. I anticipate completion before Dec 31, 2008 `__* And I delayed learning Mahjong.

Anime. I'm currently watching Allison to Lilla, Nogizaku Haruka no Himitsu, ToLove RU, and Gurren Lagann. I finished watching Special A and Code Geass R2. I continue to watch Bleach. The fillers are completed. Yay! I purchased another plastic storage bin for Costco as my DVD collection is growing >__>

Leading Causes of Death. Here is a list of the leading causes of death: heart disease (blockage of blood vessels to the heart), cancer (irregular growth of cells), stroke (loss of blood flow to the brain), Chronic Lower Respiratory Disease or CLRD (narrowing of the lungs' airways, diabetes (high level of blood glucose), and Alzheimer's Disease (brain disorder).

2008 Yaoi Con. I attended Yaoi Con Sat Sep 27 and Sun Sep 28. I was happy to see some of my friends. The cosplay pics are viewed here. Also, I uploaded cosplay pics of myself here. A big thank you to Kimu for providing most pics in My Cosplay ^___^

Congrats :D to my brother's family for their second child born on Sep 22, 2008. The second child is a daughter and the family is doing well!

I visited Capitola for the first time on Sat Sep 20. Capitola is 5 minutes south of Santa Cruz. It's a small beach city with shops and a cozy beach. gmontem and Appu came with me because we planned to eat dinner later in the day and we choose to hang out the entire day XD

Movies. Fry's and Best Buy have been selling DVDs for $4 or $5. Great deals. I have been in the mood to watch movies. I watched The Graduate, Mad Max, Indiana Jones IV, Batman Begins, and the Godfather Part I and Part II. I purchased The Godfather box set at Costco. I watched Batman Begins with Appu at gmontem's house. I continue to find cheap DVDs which interested me. I watch Godfather Part III on Sat Oct 25. Godfather highly recommended XD

Thank you pabo_mag for identifying 2007 Fanime Con pic #248.

Updates. I never forget the updates =)

Update September 18, 2008:

A New All Time Favorite Book. I finished reading two books. The first book and latest on my all time favorite books list is "I Hope They Serve Beer In Hell" by Tucker Max. I highly recommend for any lifestyle. The second book I finished is "Prophecy" by Robert Kiyosaki. I read "Prophecy" for the second time to remind myself the biggest market crash is still coming. It is :<

Watching Anime. I'm currently watching Allison to Lilla, To Love RU, Special A, and Gurren Lagann. I watched six episodes of Kohime Musou. I continue to watch Bleach and Code Geass R2. I finished watching Midori Days. I'm caught up on the Bleach manga and Nana manga published by Viz.

Punkbuster. Punkbuster and I met at Fanime Con 2008. She visited the Bay Area for a weekend vacation. We visited San Francisco, Santa Cruz, Monterey, and hung out with my friends. Fun times XD

I updated my resume and cover letter. It's time to find a new job. I got two calls since Monday September 15. The economy may not be as bad as we think arguably speaking, LOL.

New Building. I moved to a new building at Cisco. My manager and her manager both work in another department asked me to move closer to their department. I personally consider their department my second department and my primary department the department I was hired to support. I miss my old building *sniff, sniff* Also, at my old building there was a catering truck I saw during lunch time. On July 17, I walked to the catering truck to try their lunch. The truck serves Asian lunches Americanized.

I'm getting personal now. I created a new blog titled "Finding Raymond Mar." On September 2, I began my identity crisis. The new blog is located here Finding Raymond Mar. The blog contains self-interviewing questions and positives in my life as I work my butt off finding my new identity, my new life, and seek new adventures.

Updates. Most of the updates are links. I added a song to my favorite music. It's "Let It Be" by The Beatles.

Update August 10, 2008:

Updating Me. We are in August for 2008. Fast year for you? It's a fast year for me =__= I had faster years ^^

Anime Events. I attended Fanime Con'08 May 23-26, 2008. Best Fanime ever for me. Thank you to the staff and volunteers. I attended the Northern California (Nor Cal) Cosplay Picnic on June 21, 2008. Thank you to Bart Boy and his friends for organizing the event. Timing was good for the picnic because the Bay Area experience a heat wave and we were at the cool Treasure Island.

Mahjong. I developed an interest to play Mahjong in middle of June. I read a book I got at San Jose State and I purchased another book. Must memorize the characters and symbols. I have a Mahjong set my Mom owns. I purchased a Mahjong game for my laptop; unfortunately, the game is a variation of games using Mahjong tiles. I'm angry. I shop around and find a real Mahjong game for my laptop. Finding friends to play with me is difficult given my work schedule, other activities, and priorities. I play every opportunity I can. I played once.

New Laptop. I got a new laptop just to play video games. My new laptop is a HP 8510p. Everything is working well. I have XP Pro instead of Vista. One minor setback was I needed to call HP to get the recovery CDs. I removed the recovery partition on my laptop. I gained 2GB in my hard drive.

Team Fortress 2 (TF2) and Peggle. I have been playing less TF2 . . . which is good. It's ironic I have a better laptop to play TF2, yet I've been playing less. No complaints. I played Peggle, the free demo version. Very addicting. I'm not going to purchase the full version ^__^

Books. I finished reading "How To Master The Art Of Selling" by Tom Hopkins. I don't know my next book. In the meantime, I read my Mahjong book and learn how to play Mahjong and choose my next book afterwards.

Back To Anime. I'm still reading Bleach, Full Metal Alchemist, Tsubasa Chronicles, and Nana. I started to read D. Gray Man manga. For anime series, I'm watching Code Geass R2, Special A, Bleach, Allison and Lilla. I finished watching Vampire Knight. I add ToLoveRU to my list of anime series. Finally, I watched Totoro and Howl's Moving Castle. Totoro is a great family movie. Howl's was OK.

I tried Calpico for the first time in June. I drank the original flavor and strawberry. Calpico tastes sweet soda with no carbon.

Update on Braces. My braces are great. I eat soft food for a few days after I receive new wires. My orthodontist says I have 1.5 years remaining. I look forward for a new smile and new confidence XD

New Glasses. I got a pair of new glasses. My eye doctor gave me a more powerful prescription. The glasses are used to help me read sharper especially when driving and working on the computer.

Sinus Problems Throughout the month of March, I thought I was sick. I stayed home on weekends and took it easy at work. I telecommuted Monday March 10 to Thursday March 14. I hate telecommuting. I have trouble concentrating and network connection to work is slow. I live 15-20 minutes from work. For me, it's worth driving to work. I'm old school ;-)

I went to the doctor on March 26. The doctor found nothing wrong with me and he believed I have allergies. I took Tylenol Cold & Allergy. I felt much better days later. I started going back to the gym on April 7 doing light workouts. I hope to begin my regular workout next week because . . .

. . . Busy At Work The last two weeks at work has been super busy or super quiet. Tomorrow and for the week, it's going to be busy. Why? For my department's 3rd Quarter Fiscal Year, I'm practically 100% responsible for everything from calculating the numbers and putting the charts and information together. A few of my co-workers provide me with some data. I'm responsible for putting all the data together.

Termites. On March 31 and April 1, 2008, my family and I stayed at my brother's house because our house got tented for termites. The extermination was successful. I took two days off work. The biggest hassle was moving the food and medications.

Anime. I finished watching Code Geass. I'm looking forward to the second season. I'm caught up on Bleach at episode 168. Episode 166 made my cry, and it's the second anime episode I cried. The first time I cried was Fushigi Yuugi episode 33. I'm going to finish watching Clannad TV series and then watch ef A Tale Of Memories. I have 12 episodes of ef.

Update January 15, 2008:

New Year. Happy New Year. 2007 seemed to be the fastest year in my life. Hope for another good year 2008.

Nutcracker. I saw The Nutcracker on Saturday December 22, 2007. The last time I watched the ballet was December 1999. Ballet San Jose continues the annual magic.

Anime. I attended SacAnime on January 11-13, 2008. Thank you to the staff and volunteers. I had a good time. Cosplay pics coming soon. One incident happened driving to Sacramento. My driver side rear tire experienced a blowout on Interstate 880. I changed the tire on the freeway and arrived at 12:50pm. As for anime series, I finished watching Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha StrikerS. Great series which takes off on episode 10. I'm on episode 138 for Bleach.

Crying Out Love, In The Center Of The World. My cousin introduced me to a Japanese Drama titled "Sekai Chuushin." The 11 episode drama is an awesome show. The series takes off after episode 5. The first 4 episodes were character development and set-up. It's worth watching and I was hooked after episode 5.

I finished reading The Age Of Turbulence by Alan Greenspan. I enjoyed Part I where Greenspan talked about the events and his influence in the economy. I'm currently not reading any books. And I finished watching Heroes Seasons 1. Mr. Bennett is my favorite character. The guy is strong willed and does whatever it takes to make the right choice.

Thank you to Spirited_Cetra for identifying 2007 AX pic #308 and faust8thsgrl for identifying 2007 Fanime photo #174.

Update November 18, 2007:

On Halloween, I wore my Edward Elric cosplay to work. Three co-workers from another department took a picture of me. I'm not at an anime con -__- After work, I went to the Winchester Mystery House where there was a cosplay gathering. We went to the gardens, took lots of pictures, and went to Chili's for dinner.

I finished watching Lucky Star and Claymore. Good series. Lucky Star is on my all-time favorite anime list, and the series is licensed by Bandai. For Bleach, I finished the Bontou series. IMO, waste of time. Just watch the captain battles ~~ I'm on episode 109. I also watch some episodes of Romeo & Juliet, Moetan, and Zombie Loan. I completed the series School Days which reminded me of my high school years. I'm currently watching Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha StrikerS.

The Age Of Turbulence. I'm about 40%-45% complete on the book by Alan Greenspan. The last chapter I read discussed the 2004 election between Bush and Kerry. I'm anxious to read part II which talks about how he approached solving economic problems-his analysis.

Heroes . I'm on episode 21 of Heroes. I hope to finish the series during the Thanksgiving weekend.

Team Fortress 2 (TF2). My friends got me hooked in the first person shooter TF2. The game is included in the Orange Box. I play Monday, a little on Friday, and Saturday evenings. TF2 is the first game I played online.

Update October 7, 2007:

Let's start with the updates first.

Anime I'm currently watching. I'm on episode 105 in Bleach. Yeah, I'm behind =( I'm almost finish watching Claymore, and soon I finish watching Lucky Star and Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha StrikerS. Next week, I watch Moetan and Zombie Loan. The fall season starts soon and I don't know what I'm going to watch. I purchased Haruhi Special Edition DVD #2 and DVD #3.

The book I'm reading is The Age Of Turbulence by Alan Greenspan. I purchased the book two weeks ago. If I had more time, I finished 50% of the book by now. The book is easy to understand so far in the five chapters I read. Greenspan uses lots of big word vocabulary. It's a good opportunity to learn new words, lawl XD

Six Months At Cisco. September 19 marked six months I worked at Cisco. I met lots of new people, learned new skills, and experienced working in a multi-billion, tech company. Working at Cisco was a good career move.

I signed up at Napster to download music. Downloaded Napster music is in Windows Media Audio (.wma) with Windows Media Digital Rights Management software. No complaints so far. Almost all of the music I downloaded is Classic Rock for my mp3 player to listen at work.

Heroes. I purchased the Heroes Season 1 DVD box set. I'm on episode 9. Please, everyone, keep the spoilers to yourself. I know lots of people who are watching Season 1. My thoughts on the series: awesome. I want to finish the series ASAP so I can watch the second season.

Mother's Vanilla Cookies. On Wednesday, I purchased a pack of the cookies. I remembered why I don't buy the cookies anymore. These cookies are super sweet. Really sweet ~~

Games. I learned how to play Liar's Dice, the dice game from Pirates Of The Caribbean 2. There are various rules. Visit Wikipedia Liar's Dice to learn how to play the easy dice game. And I purchased the card game Fluxx and Chez Geek.

Yesterday, I went to the Northern California Renaissance Faire in Hollister, CA. It was my first time at the Ren Faire. My highlights were throwing an axe and hitting the target and winning three prizes at the games booth. My friends and I saw a joust match, heard singing, watched belly dancing, and watched live action shows. The lowlight was I didn't wear a costume. Next time I attend a Ren Faire, I must wear a costume.

Update August 25, 2007:

Everyone, take a deep breath and pause for five seconds. Slow down. *takes a deep breath, exhale* O.K. Let's go.

Hello, everyone. Thank you for visiting my webpage. How is everyone's 2007 going? Fast? Fastest year ever. Time is flying by super fast. End of discussion because I don't want to jinx the remaining 2007. If I talk about a year too much, I jinx the year ;-)

The latest update is a clean slate. I summarize the major events between January 2007 and March 18, 2007:

  • 2007 is the year I Prepare For The Big Break
  • My Grandfather past away on January 18
  • I have been wearing braces since January 24

March 19, 2007. On March 19, I started my new job a contractor for Cisco. Good bye Colliers. I learned new skills, met new people, and experienced new experiences I never have back at Colliers. The commute is longer, yet I have flexible work hours. My work hours at 10am-7pm. There is little traffic driving off peak times. I continue to learn more about Cisco and my department. Everyone can telecommute; however, I'm old school such that I have to work at Cisco.

My second week at Cisco, my department had an off-site meeting in Vancouver, BC, Canada. The first day at Cisco I was told to schedule a flight for a four day off-site meeting. I was scared at first because I understood next to nothing about my responsibilities, my department functions, and Cisco jargon. In the end, the timing was perfect. I meet a lot of co-workers who are everywhere in the world, and they put a face to a name when we ask each other for help. It was my second time in Vancouver which helped when it came to walking around. My first time was the Washington Canada trip in August 2005.

Anime time. I attended two conventions and two events wearing my cosplay. The two conventions were Fanime Con on May 25-28 and Anime Expo on June 29-July 2. Fanime Con was my second all-time favorite Fanime . As for Anime Expo, well, I made the best of it despite the numerous problems. There were good moments including the cosplay gatherings and the bad moments including the long wait in the hot sun. Someone told me a suggestion taking group shots. Take an all group shot with everyone in one picture and then take close-up group shots with a few cosplayers in one shot, another few cosplayers in a second shot, and another, etc. I want to thank the staff and volunteers from Fanime and Anime Expo.

The two events were the San Francisco Cherry Blossom Festival parade on April 22 and the San Jose Cherry Blossom Festival on April 29. The San Francisco I was disappointed because there were less cosplayers. After the parade, my friends and I hung out for the rest of the day and ate dinner there. The San Jose we all hung out at Far Side Toys for most of the afternoon. In the early evening, four of us went to San Francisco to visit Japantown and Pier 39.

The anime series I watched Magicial Girl Lyrical Nanoha and Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha A's completely. Nanoha is on my all-time favorite anime series. I'm currently watching Claymore, Bleach, Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha StrikerS, and Lucky Star. I watched a few episodes of Ghost Hunt, Darker Than Black, Nana, Baccano, Demonbane, Night Head Genesis, Hayate No Gotoku, and a few more I can't remember -__-

I'm current behind in my manga readings. I'm two or three volumes behind on Full Metal Alchemist, Bleach, and Tsubasa Chronicle. I read three of the five volumes of xxxHolic I have. My next manga on my wish list is Nana. I watched 13 episodes and I'm addicted to the series. The series reminds me of a few people I knew in the past.

Books. I read Business @ The Speed Of Thought by Bill Gates and The Eye Of The Storm by Robert Slater. I'm still choosing my next book. The most likely book is Mastering The Art Of Selling by Tom Hopkins. I listened to an abridged audio cassette of Tom Hopkins Mastering The Art Of Selling book.

Technology Books. I also read Visual Quickstart Guide series Acrobat 7.0 Professional by Peachpit Press. I learned more about Acrobat than just printing, deleting, and editing .pdf files. The next technology books I read are PowerPoint because my department uses PowerPoint and Crystal Reports XI.

Movies. I saw three movies which are Ghost Rider, Shrek 3, and Transformers. I saw Transfomers at Anime Expo 2007. I loved it. I'm going to get the DVD. I have no plans to watch anymore movies for the rest of 2007.

On May 19, 2007, I purchased my first car. It's a 2005 Toyota Camry I bought from my neighbor. My neighbor and his wife moved to Virginia and they sold me their second car. The car runs great.

Summer Sabbatical. In May, I was stressed working at Cisco. Frustrations, mistakes, and forgetting myself in April and May. I created the Summer Sabbatical for June, July, and August. When I'm out of work, I'm out of work. I do anything except work. I'm happy to say the sabbatical worked. I accomplished a lot and caught up on many activities including my bills, my webpage, creating more Blogs, accomplishing some goals, and hanging out more with my friends.

Update July 29, 2007:

Anime Expo 2007 cosplay pics are uploaded. Unfortunately, there are approximately 100 pics with a white spot. I don't know the reason. Maybe it's time to get a new camera. I took over 8,000 pics and I purchased the camera in April 2006 =P

Update March 18, 2007:

Time To Say Goodbye. On Monday March 19, 2007, I start my new job as a contractor for Cisco. I'm both excited and scared for tomorrow. My feelings are normal. I'm leaving the Real Estate sector and entering the Tech sector. I like to thank all my family and all my friends for enduring me for a long time.

A Few More Help. Thank you to those who emailed me helping my identify cosplayers. I got a few more emails. I update when I get the chance.

Update February 12, 2007:

Rename The Year 2007. Initially, I named 2007 as the Year of the Big Break. I'm going to delay the Year of The Big Break to 2008. My new 2007 year is the Year I Prepare For The Big Break. So far, I have been doing lots of little things which are preparing me for the future.

For example, I'm eating new foods and foods I never liked before such as Kiwi, oatmeal, peanut butter and jelly sandwich, and yogurt. Also, I'm wearing braces which is going to improve my dental hygiene and give me a better smile. And I still remember my VBlogs. I need to find time to learn how to use the video editing software I downloaded last month. I hope my VBlogs bring more people to visit my Blog.

Wireless Router. I purchased a Netgear wireless router for home. Installation was simple. My home has wireless Internet access. Thank you to my brother and some of my friends for their help and suggestions.

Anime Palace. The popular store Anime Palace moved to a new location from Sunnyvale to Santa Clara. On February 10, the store held a new grand opening. 25% off everything in the store. I spent $160. And I cosplayed as Edward Elric from Full Metal Alchemist. There were two other cosplayers.

Updates. The updates are the following:

  • My Cosplay Added two pics of me at Anime Palace.
  • Top Ten Modified my top values and added a new value.
  • Family Photos Added Summer 2005 family reunion and myself at home pics.

Update January 31, 2007:

A Brief 2006 Look Back. I'm going to be brief talking about 2006 because it's bad luck to talk about the good and bad of a year, LOL! 2006 was a fast, busy, lost, and experiencing new experiences and doing new activities year. 2006 was the first time in my life I had back to back good years 2005 and 2006. 2006 was the Year Of The First which is similar to 2005 the Year Of The New, and sometimes I confuse the First and New for 2005 or 2006 :-P

2007 is going to be the Year I Prepare For The Big Break. My big moment, my big break, my missing number one moment from 1974-2004 is going to happen soon. I must begin preparations.

My Grandfather past away on January 18, 2007 at the age of 89. Funeral services were held at Glendale, CA. During his last two and a half years, my Uncle and Aunt's family visited my Mom and Dad's house once a week to keep my Grandfather company. He's going to be missed. My Grandfather is going to be remembered the most as a family member who devoted a lot of time to make sure the family is happy.

Braces. On Wednesday January 24, my orthodontist put on my braces. I'm wearing the clear ceramic braces. Very hard to see from a person to person length. I'm going to wear them for 1.5 to 2 years.

Thank you to the following for helping me identify cosplayers:

  • hollymark5 Fanime Con 2006 #93

  • HimoraKenshin95 Fanime Con 2005 #55
  • Lady Ju-San Fanime Con 2006 #107
  • jthm777gir Anime Expo 2006 #454 and #543 and Yaoi Con 2006 #38

All emails helping me identify cosplayers are verified to the best of my ability. Thank you to all the helpful emails. I received more. I get to them as soon as I can.

Books. I'm currently reading Business @ The Speed Of Thought by Bill Gates and The Complete Reference Crystal Reports XI by George Peck. I'm going to read Part I only because at my current level, I just need to learn how to design reports XD

Playstation 2. I purchased a PS2 after Christmas. I had two gift cards for which I lost a total of $6.00. The cards charged a $2.00 maintenance fee per month of inactivity. The sum of the gift cards paid for the PS2 and two memory cards. I plan to purchase some games soon.

2007 New Mexico Bowl. Congrats to the San Jose State Spartans for defeating New Mexico Lobos.

2007 Fiesta Bowl. Congrats to the Boise State Broncos for defeating the Oklahoma Sooners in one of the best college football games. Both San Jose State and Boise State are in the Western Athletic Conference (WAC).

You know you're a geek when you either say or know sound effects from your favorite shows or video games.

Update December 26, 2006:

Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and Happy New Year. During the Xmas holiday, I completed the cosplay pics for Anime Overdose (AOD), JapanTown Anime Faire (JTAF), and Yaoi Con. I apologize for the long delay. I plan to look at the help identify cosplay emails as soon as I can. Thank you to those who emailed me.

Week of December 11, 2006. December 11-15 I took a week off work. I went to Las Vegas on Dec 11-13, Santa Cruz on Dec 15, and Sacramento on Dec 17 which was a Sunday XD All three trips were fun. Unfortunately, I got sick on Dec 19 for which there were multiple possibilities that got me sick ;__;

Happy Sashimi 2718 Pinole Valley Road Pinole, California (12k)

Happy Sashimi. Please visit my cousin's Japanese Restaurant at Happy Sashimi. The Japanese restaurant is located at 2718 Pinole Valley Road in Pinole. Menu included in the website.

Update December 10, 2006:

The Real Update. Hello. So much happened since July 2006. After Anime Expo 2006, lots of goods and lots of bads happened. Between July 23 and October 28, I have been updating my webpage only. I never updated myself-I never shared the latest happenings on my home page since July 2006 ;__; Onward to the latest me ^__^

Anime Conventions. After AX'06, I attended Anime Overdose in August, Japan Town Anime Faire in September, and Yaoi Con on October. Earlier, I attended WonderCon in March, Cherry Blossom Festival in April, and Fanime Con in May. I'm skipping 2007 WonderCon and likely JTAF is finished forever. I'm questioning whether to attend the smaller conventions in 2007.

Santa Cruz. On August 22, a few friends and I visited Santa Cruz. We walked around the beach area, went to the Boardwalk, and ate dinner at the Saturn Restaurant. The visit made me realize how close Santa Cruz is. The driving time is the same as driving from San Jose to Palo Alto during non commute hours. The last time I visited Santa Cruz was in August 2001.

Uncle Raymond. Congratulations to my brother's family for their first child. Mark was born in September. The family is doing great.

Snakes On A Plane. I watched Snakes On A Plane, the only movie I watched during the summer. I've have had it with these mutha **** snakes in this mutha **** plane :X

Short Term Goals. Highlighting my short term goals for 2006-2007 include visiting Santa Cruz at least six times, learning Crystal Reports, meeting 50 new people, and creating video Blogs. I want to visit Santa Cruz in December for Christmas shopping. I never visited Downtown Santa Cruz before-if there is a Downtown. I need to do my research.

Grandmother Past Away. My grandmother past away in July at the age of 92. Here is what I learned from her,

  • Always eat fresh food. Rarely eat processed food and cook enough to prevent leftovers.
  • Save money for emergencies.
  • Cherish personal treasures and dump the junk. My grandparent's house never had junk.

Back To Anime. Since July, I watched Gunslinger Girl, Tsubasa Chronicles Second Season, Chrono Crusade, Air, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, and the first season of Gokusen Live Action. I watched a few episodes of Ouran High School Host Club, Utawareumono, Higurashi, Death Note, Mushishi, and I's Pure OAV.

In September, I started to read the Bleach manga. I appreciated how awesome the Bleach manga is. And reading the manga reviews the episodes I watched mostly *__* Furthermore, I'm thinking about how I introduce myself to new anime series. I have been always watching the anime series and if I like the series, I purchase the manga. Given the Bleach manga straightforward story compared to the TV series which included obvious filler episodes, I thinking about read the manga first and then watch the series.

Braces. January 2007, I'm going to wear braces. I completed all the consultations and x-rays. The plan is remove four teeth, braces for two years, and a retainer. The braces are going to be the clear, ceramic braces which are harder for others to see my braces :-{}

Books. I finished Unlimited Power by Anthony Robbins. The book was good. I learned a few new ways to live life and new perspectives to success. I'm currently reading my Crystal Reports XI manual to relearn Crystal. After I finish the manual, I'm going to purchase another Crystal Reports book to reinforce what I learned. I may take an intermediate or advance course after reading the second book. I have to find a way to convince my company to pay for it. Hmmmmmm ~~

The next books on my list are Business @ The Speed Of Thought by Bill Gates, How To Master The Art Of Selling by Tom Hopkins, and One Up On Wall Street by Peter Lynch. My first choice is either Gates or Hopkins. Lynch's book must be the latest edition because I skimmed one edition after 2001 and Lynch commented on the dot com bubble in 2000.

Job Search. In August, three people left my company. The incident motivated me to start looking for another job. I recreated my resume and wrote a new cover letter. I broke some of the rules of creating a resume and cover letter. IMO, there is more than one way to write an effective resume and a strong cover letter. In exchange for job searching, I stop following the stock market. When I find a new job, I follow the stock market again. Honestly speaking, I don't miss the stock market 0:-)

Laptop Accessories. One of Murphy's Laws, "If it can break, it's going to." I'm glad I brought my laptop to Anime Expo 2006. It sure made waiting in lines less boring. Unfortunately, the hand strap broke :( I returned the laptop back to Targus and I got a new one. Talk about lifetime guarantee against defects. Thank you, Targus =)

Another laptop accessory which broke was my AC adapter. The plug wire bent from wear and tear, and when I needed a charge or power my laptop, the AC adapter failed to transfer the electricity to my laptop. Fortunately, I purchased the plug only on eBay.

I purchased four new laptop accessories. The first was a D-LINK USB 2.0 Wireless Adapter 802.11 b/g. I tested the adapter at Tapioca Express which has free Wi-Fi. It worked perfectly. The second was a chillpad to keep my laptop cool. The chillpad is a pad with two fans placed under the laptop to draw out the heat. The third was a webcam to create a weblog and to record videos anywhere my laptop goes. I can use the webcam on my home PC, too XD And the fourth was a USB calculator number pad.

Tapioca Express. Speaking of Tapioca Express aka Tap-X, I have been hanging out at Tap-X since November with my friends. Going there was my first time in a tapioca, coffee, and tea shop. I always order the Vanilla Snow Bubble. Tap-X is a popular place for people to meet each other and grab a sweet drink at a great price. Click here to visit their website.

Black Friday. I purchased two items on Black Friday. The first was a Samsung 19 inch widescreen flat panel monitor at Best Buy. I was lucky to get a monitor because many customers got the wrong monitor. The second was a Creative Zen Vision:M 30GB mp3 player at Fry's Electronics website. I bring the player to work and to the gym. I used to listen to my radio I purchased in 2004. The radio is at home.

Learning Technology. The last week of October, the home PC crashed. My Dad thought the BIOS were corrupt. My Dad reinstalled Windows XP. Fortunately, the hard drive was partitioned and all of the family's files were safe. Lesson learned. Back up your files and partitioned the hard drive. After the incident, my Dad has been teaching me computer hardware and the basics of setting up and maintaining a PC. I have one of my brother's old PCs I use to learn more about technology.

*Takes a breather* More to talk about ;-)

Going back to anime again. In Japantown Anime Faire 4 (JTAF 4), I cosplayed as Toshiro Hitsugaya from Bleach. I like to thank my Mom for making the Haori or the Captain's white coat. My fourth cosplay I sew myself with my Mom's supervision. I have one problem which is I still thinking about who to cosplay >.>

I experienced new experiencing cosplaying Edward Elric from Full Metal Alchemist and Syaoran from Tsubasa Chronicles at Anime Expo 2006. I participated in the CLAMP gathering which was small and organized, the Full Metal Alchemist gathering which was big and crazy, and another Full Metal Alchemist on the fly gathering. All three gatherings were interesting, positive, and new experiences for me. I also experienced my first Yaoi moment (*__*) My Syaoran cosplay was involved in the biggest panel involving the CLAMP artists visiting the United States for the first time. My Edward cosplay was involved in the debut of the Full Metal Alchemist movie. And my Syaoran character made the front cover of the AX program guide. Yay! The common factor was I met new people, had lots of fun, and the timing was perfect my cosplays were involved in many activities.

Recently, I developed a bigger interest in Japanese Rock music or J-Rock. In 2005, I owned three J-Rock CDs. I own six J-Rock plus some mp3s my cousin gave me. Getting interested in J-Rock opens another path to expand my hobbies and interests. Classic rock, classical music, and anime music remains my favorite types of music.

To conclude anime, I have been an anime fan for 10 years. 10 years!!!!!!!!!! Anime is my longest and active hobby in my life. Arguably, video games should be longer because I started playing video games with the Atari 2600; however, I've been in and out of video games and I mostly play classic video games such as Gauntlet II and Cyberball. The last fighting game I played was Marvel vs. Capcom 2. I still know the move for a Ryu fireball ^^

Thanksgiving Holiday. My 2006 Thanksgiving holiday was one my best. I forgot the last time I experienced a great holiday. My family visited my uncle's place for a mini family reunion. We watched Mission Impossible III. I know why the movie sucked at the box office. On Friday, I went to Best Buy for Black Friday and I was lucky to get a flat panel widescreen monitor. On Saturday, I went with a group of friends to a Christmas tree farm to get a 13.5 foot Christmas tree. On Sunday, I raked the leaves in the back yard.

  • Side note: Maybe 1996 was the last great Thanksgiving when I had a one week holiday at San Jose State?
  • Side note 2: An unofficial short-term goal is to learn a few knots. We were lucky the Christmas tree stayed on top of one of my friends' SVU because none of us knew how to tie knots. One of my friends thought of something on the spot and it worked.

And finally, a brief review. It's bad luck for me to talk about how good and how bad my year is. I want to avoid jinxing a good 2006 year. It's the first time in my life I have two consecutive good years. Which is year is better? 2005? No. 2006? No. Both years are close. The Year of the New 2005 I experienced the big events and activities and moments. The Year of the First 2006 I have been experiencing the many small events and activities and moments. July 2006 has been fast, busy, lost, and new activities and adventures. I talk about 2007 after January 1, 2007 8-)

Thank you for visiting my webpage. My next updates I update contents, especially uploading more cosplay pics. I also find time to update me :D Thank you for reading the update about me <3

Update October 28, 2006:

Click To View AX'06 Cosplay Pictures

Anime Expo 2006 Cosplay Pictures are uploaded. I experienced mixed feelings working on the pics. The happy side is I took 653 pics and I finally uploaded the pics. All of the cosplays looked good. The sad side is it took a long, long time to edit, identify, create the HTML, and upload. I started at the beginning of October. Here I am finished on October 28.

What took me a long time was editing and cropping the Anime Expo 2006 (AX'06 or AX) pics. I uploaded 653 pics, LOL! Identifying the cosplays was quicker than I thought. I reached my goal of identifying 90% of the cosplays, and I know I misidentified a few T__T One reason identifying the pics was faster because I used many of the Fanime'06 pics to identify the AX pics.

Truthfully, I devoted the week of October 23 working on AX'06 cosplay pics. I stayed up past 2:00 A.M. a couple of nights and I had to work the next day. As a result, I experienced fatigue and I'm little under the weather. One can say it was not worth staying up late because there are more important activities. Agreed. It's the month of October, AX was in July, and November is three days away such that I have more activities planned such as starting on my short-term goals. The pics must be uploaded and 85% of my web traffic belongs to the Anime Page.

What is the future telling me? I have cosplay pics from Anime Overdose, JTAF, and Yaoicon. I promise I upload the pics. I'm uncertain when. Thereafter, I think about changing the process for the 2007 cons and later because working on the AX cosplay pics took way too long and I paid the price today. On a brighter side, the time required to work Anime Overdose, JTAF, and Yaoicon cosplay pics is much less compared to AX :-)

For those I met at AX and I took your cosplay pics, I hope to email your cosplay pics next week or two (and I really mean it--a big hope).

I appreciate help identifying cosplay pics I have no idea who they are and from what series, manga, or video game. Credit is given ^_^ Comments, suggestions, and feedback to what I said are welcomed. Please email me at webmaster@innovateinfinitely.com

For the rest of the day, it's anything except looking at a computer monitor XD

Update September 10, 2006:

Hello, everyone It's been a while since I last update. Hope everything is going well. I'm doing O.K.

I devote the next two weeks to make updates and additions. Unfortunately, the AX'06 and AOD'06 cosplay pics are ready at a later date . . . a much later date :( Lots happened since July. I share and shout out the best and worst happenings. In the meantime, I updated the Anime Links, eCommerce Links, Entertainment Links, Economics Government Statistics Links, Miscellaneous Links, Real Estate Links, and Technology Links.

Update July 23, 2006:

Fanime Con 2006 Cosplay Pictures are uploaded. View the cosplay pics here.

The hot weather sucks. Sucks, sucks, sucks. It's still very hot outside. It's a major heat wave. I'm drinking lots and lots of water. And I still have lots to do. Hard to do stuff in a warm house.

Update July 16, 2006:

Cosplay Pics Updates. If everything goes well, the 2006 Fanime Con cosplay pics are uploaded before Sunday July 23, 2006 which is best case scenario. And I received lots of emails helping me identifying cosplayers. I have the emails and I update as soon as I can. Thank you very much XD

Watching Anime. I finished watching Fate Stay Night. Good series. For me, I watch the series because of Saber. Saber kicks butt! I have two more episodes remaining of the 12 episode first season of Gokusen Live Action. The next series I'm going to finish is The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya.

During 2006 Anime Expo (AX), my laptop's bag handle broke. I went to the company's website and requested a repair order number. Also, I had another problem with my Canon Powershot A610. When I adjusted the brightness on the P setting, the brightness adjustment doesn't show on the display. I went to Canon's website and requested help to solve the problem. Fortunately, I didn't drop my camera. I took lots of cosplays pics and I think the cosplays were the best ever.

After AX. Everything I have done since AX'06 I try to get back to my routines. I got sick the weekend with a sore throat and fatigue. I think I dodged another big sickness. I hope to go back to the gym on Thursday. I'm 60% completed on Anthony Robbins Unlimited Power. There are some really great chapters I learned something. And as for work, well, nothing really worth mentioning. My workplace is like a human being goes in, a body comes out only. And I lots of little stuff that lingered out which I completed.

Updates. Updates are my half.com store, Anime Links, and Family and Friends links.

Thank you to the staff and volunteers of Anime Expo. I enjoyed every minute of the con. Best con ever I attended.

And finally, one of my pet peeves is I hate to be bored. Lying in bed and taking a nap is not being bored. I believe being bored is watching TV and channel surfing. Please remember to take advantage of the one free credit report per year to check on your credit.

Update July 6, 2006:

Anime Expo 2006. OMFG! I can't hold back my big smile :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) AX'06 is my number one favorite. Thank you to the staff and volunteers of AX. I did lots of stuff, met people from Fanime, met lots of new people, and spent only $10.00 in the dealer's room. For those who have my email address, please email back because I like to keep in touch. For those who I have your email address, I email you as soon as I can. Very busy :-( When was the last time I was really happy? I hope I don't jinx the rest of 2006, LOL! And my life, LOL, LOL!!

Update June 17, 2006:

Happy Sashimi 2718 Pinole Valley Road Pinole, California (12k)

Japanese Restaurant. Anyone living in the Oakland East Bay area in California please check out Happy Sashimi. The Japanese restaurant is located at 2718 Pinole Valley Road in Pinole. Menu included in the website. Grand opening is July 1, 2006.

More Fanime. I hosted Anime Fans Over 30 for the second time. Thank you to those who attended and who have visited my website XD And I started working on the cosplay pics. As of today, I cropped and edited 118 cosplay pics.

Continuing Anime. I hate to say I don't know when I finish updating Anime Fan Is An Anime Fan 4.0 O:-) And I like to thank the following anime fans who helped identified cosplayers ^__^ I received more help identifying cosplayers for which I update at my next update >.>

  • glitterlady for 2005 Fanime Con #71, 2005 AX 6 and 2005 AX 380, and 2005 JTAF #60
  • islanbatman for 2005 Fanime Con #71
  • miasma_maidens_cosplay for 2005 JTAF #16

Updates. Updated Anime Links, Friends and Family Links especially from Fanime Con Forum Members, my half.com store, and Miscellaneous Links.

Update June 5, 2006:

New web page name. Uploaded My Cosplay Pics, formerly known as FMA Cosplay. I renamed the page My Cosplay because I have more than one cosplay. Once a cosplayer, always a cosplayer. Can't go back. LOL!

Going back to Fanime. Again, I like to thank the staff and volunteers of Fanime Con 2006. It was a good convention and every moment I did something. I did my shopping on the last day. I purchased a Rozen Maiden art book, Rozen Maiden pencil board, and a Bleach Hitsugaya plushie. Congrats for 10,000 attendees :)

Update June 2, 2006:

First Cosplay Pics Uploaded. The 2006 Cherry Blossom Festival cosplay pics are uploaded. And I request lots of help identifying unknown cosplayers. Credit is given. Thank you.

Update May 30, 2006:

*Yawn* I'm sleepy. I like to thank the staff and volunteers of Fanime Con 2006. I had a good time meeting people from the Fanime BBS, meeting new people for the first time from the Fanime BBS, meeting new people, and meeting people I met last year and from other conventions. For the next four days, I'm going to take it easy and devote the entire free time to cosplay pics. More Fanime Con later :)

First, I need to upload the 2006 Cherry Blossom Festival cosplay pics. I try to upload the pics either tomorrow or Thursday.

And, I have 30 days to create another cosplay. I want to cosplay as *damn, forgot name* the Soul Society captain with the Dragon Ice. The reason for the 30 days is because Anime Expo 2006 is July 1-4.

Outside anime, my brother and his wife moved to their new house, I'm reading a little bit by little bit of Unlimited Power by Anthony Robbins, and, regretfully speaking, I have not continued on my business plan and I have not started on my Crystal Reports training at home :( Should I concentrate more time on my reading, training, and business and less time on anime and hanging around with friends? What is the balance? Is there another choice? Unfortunately, I'm still finding the answer to how I live life happy and efficiently. Hey, wait a minute. Another Blog idea?

Update May 14, 2006:

Last week was a four day work week for me. I really don't anything worth mentioning.

I installed Crystal Reports on my home PC. Hopefully I can start on Chapter 1 tomorrow ^_^

Updates. Updated eCommerce Links, Entertainment Links, Family, Friends Links, and Real Estate Links.

Note: I'm starting to add Fanime Board Members webpage links to my Family and Friends Links. There are a few currently. I add more as time goes on ^^

Update May 8, 2006:

Last weekend I spent with my friend Steve who is visiting from Washington. We went bowling, shopping, and played lots of board games. Steve and played probably the fastest The Simpsons game ever for two players. We finished between 10-15 minutes. Very fast. And we went to many restaurants for dinner including Outback Steakhouse. It was my first time going to Outback.

I purchased Crystal Reports to practice at home. I got the standard edition from Amazon.com. I have the training manual where I re-read some of the sections and complete more exercises.

Two updates. The first update is About ININ where I added more personal innovative bullets for 2006. The second update is Police Photos where I added more police cars from the California Highway Patrol and added police cars from San Francisco Police and San Francisco Sheriff.

Update May 2, 2006:

Hello, everyone. Sorry for the big gap between updates. April was a busy month. I realized I have been busy and I have been doing new activities--something I never done in the past. And I'm happy about them :-)) The updates . . .

Fanime Gatherings. Thank you to Fanime Con and the forum members for the three gatherings I went to which were the April Fool's, Cherry Blossom Festival, and SushiFactory then Silent Hill. All three were fun and I met more forum members. The Cherry Blossom Festival was the first time I went. I took pics of cosplayers at the Civic Center and walked in the parade. I also met new people. The day of the parade is the best day to attend.

Classic Rock CD Collection. I went on a CD spending spree purchasing mostly Classic Rock. I got the following,

  • Janis Joplin Pearl
  • George Thorogood And The Destroyers Greatest Hits
  • Derek And The Dominos Layla
  • The Who Very Best Of The Who
  • Johnny Cash 16 Biggest Hits (music reminds me of Washington Canada trip)
  • Tom Petty And The Heartbreakers Greatest Hits
  • Lynyrd Skynyrd All Time Greatest Hits
  • Styx Greatest Hits
  • Pink Floyd Dark Side Of The Moon
  • Sting The Best of Sting 1984-1994
  • Norah Jones Come Away With Me
  • John Lennon Legend
  • Steve Miller Band Complete Greatest Hits

Crystal Reports XI. Tuesday April 25 and Wednesday April 26 I went to the Hilton-Fisherman's Warf for a two day training class on Crystal Reports XI. My job requires me to know Crystal Reports to create new reports and export the data from the back end. My company's new database is a piece of #@%$! (Am I O.K. to say it?) I'm going to purchase the software for my home PC to practice and learn more because the skills are going to help me find another job. Yay! I added a goal to learn the basics at home before December 31, 2006.

Since my Dad's truck was recovered, my family and I use The Club. The Club is a metal stick attached to the steering wheel to prevent the thief from turning the wheel. I know professional car thieves can steal any car; however, using The Club reduces the chances the truck gets stolen. And I don't think a professional wants to steal a 1984 truck with 200,000 miles on it :-O

Now anime. I finished watching Rozen Maiden second season, Mai Otome, and I'S (or is it I's?). I started watching Gunslinger Girl. I'm going to take a break watching anime and use the time to update my webpage ^_^ I'm going to be behind in watching anime *sigh*

Now books. I finished reading The Art of War by Sun Tzu. I'm currently reading Business Plans That Work by Jeffry Timmons and Unlimited Power by Anthony Robbins.

Everyone got A's. Do students wish getting A's were easy? Do grades really matter after high school? How about after college? How about applying for a loan? Interesting. My night class final was easy. I turned in my business plan. And I never checked my grade because it doesn't matter :] I learned a lot in the class. The instructor taught outside the book which I liked. Heck, the class never had a textbook.

Gas Prices. How much was your last fill up? I paid $3.25 a gallon. Unbelievable. Gas prices going up further. Absolutely. It's inflation. Prepare for inflation, then a recession. Time to think about our driving habits. I changed mine.

The updates. Updated many links and added a new quote. Future updates include adding more police photos, upload Full Metal Alchemist cosplay pics from Cherry Blossom Festival, and upload Cherry Blossom Festival cosplay pics. I also received emails from fellow anime fans helping me identifying cosplayers. I get to the emails as well =) And I added a new goal which is to Learn Crystal Reports at home since I took the class last week.

Update Sunday March 26, 2006:

I'm feeling much, much better today. I plan to go back to the gym next week. Since my recovery, I have been eating smaller meal portions. I'm going to start gradually eating more to the point I eat normal portions.

Steve's Visit. Steve from Washington visited the Bay Area last weekend. We went to Golfland in Milpitas and Pier 39 in San Francisco. We talked about a lot of stuff including stocks and our futures. Yes, Steve, hanging out was really fun!

The Learning Annex. Yesterday and today, my Dad and I attended The Learning Annex Real Estate Wealth Expo at the Moscone Center in San Francisco. My most favorite parts were Robert Kiyosaki and Tony Robbins. My least favorite parts were the seminars trying to sell their products and services and not being able to see Donald Trump. Trump's visit was too late for my Dad and I to attend :-( Is the real estate bubble going to burst? You bet!

The little stuff. The truck is driving well. All insurance papers were completed and my Dad found a replacement for the car battery security bolt which was stolen. Also, Wednesday is my final for my Business Plan night class. My night class at De Anza College is my first night class and my first class in the quarter system. The quarter system goes by super-duper fast. As for anime, Viz Video licensed Bleach. I'm currently watching Mai Otome and Gokusen, a live action comedy. The book I'm reading is Art of War by Sun Tzu.

No updates. I have a small stack of updates. I hope to upload the updates as soon as I can. I have not forgotten updating Anime Fan Is An Anime Fan.

Thank you for visiting Innovate Infinitely™. Never stop innovating life. According to statistics, at least 80,000 visitors viewed my webpage. Thank you very much XD

Update Sunday March 5, 2006:

I experienced the stomach flu all last week. Last week was one of the worst weeks in my life :-( I feel better now, and I hope it's all recovery thereafter. I didn't go to work and I didn't go to class. And I activated my half.com vacation setting.

Something good happened last week. The San Jose Police Department found my Dad's missing truck :-) Great news! If the truck was found two days later, the insurance company owns the truck and who knew what happens then.

Japan Town Anime Faire 3 (JTAF3). Finally! The cosplay pictures for JTAF 3 are uploaded. Take a look here.

Full Metal Alchemist Cosplay Anime Expo 2005. Finally, again! My FMA cosplay pics from Anime Expo 2005 are uploaded. Take a look here.

TM. I choose to register Innovate Infinitely as a registered trademark. Use Innovate Infinitely as a future business venture? Stay tuned. *Hee, hee* (Rest assured, everyone. All of the content on ININ are not going to be removed.)

Update Saturday February 25, 2006:

Updated more links and my half.com store. Thank you dragonkid2005 for identifying AX'05 cosplay photo #388, xx1pines for identifying Fanime'05 cosplay photo #283 and photo #424, and mooglesatmyunderpants for identifying Fanime'05 cosplay photo #329.

Updates. There are three updates. The first is I added City of Santa Clara police cars and more Campbell police cars for the police car photo album. The second is more links. The third is I updated About ININ.

I received more emails from fellow anime fans helping me identifying cosplayers. I have your emails; unfortunately, I have other commitments to finish. My next update includes your identifications. Thanks you very much!

Update Sunday February 19, 2006:

Missing 1984 Toyota Truck Found. Thank you San Jose Police Department.

Missing Truck. Please help find it. On February 16, 2006 early morning, my Dad's 1984 Toyota truck was stolen. The police report filed and insurance claim submitted. The truck has over 150,000 miles, no air condition, the cassette deck doesn't work properly, transmission needs an inspection, dashboard has a crack, and the interiors are breaking apart. Also, my Dad's tools were in the truck. I'm still pissed off >:-\ According to police, they believe the truck was stolen for the parts.

The picture was taken in November 2003 when the truck was vandalized. Unfortunately, I could not find a better picture. Throughout the truck's history as a victim of crime, someone stole the money in the ash try, vandalized twice, and a hit and run which caused a dent on the driver side towards the rear. After the theft, I never understand the mind of a criminal.

Fanime Con 3rd Annual Valentine Day Gathering. The Fanime Con Board members gathered at Oakridge Mall on Saturday February 18. According to long time members, the gathering was one of the biggest and the longest. We meet at the food court, went bowling across the street, went to Golfland to play arcade games, and went back to the food court to eat dinner. I had to leave after the arcade. I like to thank the organizers and the attending board members for a great time! The Valentine gathering is my second Fanime gathering. I enjoyed every moment. My favorite part was meeting more board members and seeing others I met in the past XD

Wondercon 2006. I attended Wonderon at the Moscone Center West in San Francisco, CA which took place on February 10-12, 2006. I attended Saturday only. It was my first time and likely only time at Wondercon. The number one reason I attended was on March 25-26, 2006, there is going to be a seminar my Dad and I are attending, and attending Wondercon I get an idea on the surroundings. I cosplayed as Edward Elric from Full Metal Alchemist. I didn't taking any cosplay pics. I was taking it easy.

Business Plan Night Class. I'm halfway completed on the business plan class I'm taking at De Anza College. So far, the class is so-so. The instructor is teaching out of the book--heck, there is no book. I'm learning stuff I likely not learn from a book; although I purchase a book on business plan so I can do assignments -__-

Update Saturday February 4, 2006:

Red Eyed. The last two weeks I haven't gone to the gym. I'm disappointed. Feeling physically is important for me to feel good. No big deal. Lots of stuff to do. Enough about me being busy. Let's get to the updates XD

Yay! Updates. Ironically, I removed red eyes from some cosplay pics and added a few more cosplay pics for Fanime Con 2005. I updated my favorite anime songs at Top Ten. And for About Me, I forgot to add Azumanga Daioh as my all-time favorite anime series and I added Rozen Maiden. Rozen Maiden is the first season in the series and has 12 episodes. Great series!

I received emails from fellow anime fans helping me identifying cosplayers. I have your emails; unfortunately, I have other commitments to finish. My next update includes your identifications. Thanks you very much!

Update Sunday January 29, 2006:

On the other hand, I did a lot on Saturday and Sunday. The latest update is I uploaded lots of police car photos from the Washington Canada Trip and Oregon Trip. I also uploaded photos from University of California, City of Oakland, and Sacramento County. Enjoy XD

Update Saturday January 28, 2006:

Tired Week. I was exhausted through the week. I didn't get much done. Easy updates currently: lots of links added a favorite quote from the movie Wall Street, and updated my Top 30 Most Memorable Moments Number 30.

Update Monday January 23, 2006:

GTO Live Action. I forgot to mention yesterday I finished watching Great Teacher Onizuka Live Action. Even though it's live action, the series is on my all-time favorite anime list. And speaking of anime list, I updated About Me.

Update Sunday January 22, 2006:

Yesterday and today, I spent eight hours playing Command & Conquer: Generals China Stage 7. The level was very difficult. I needed to research the web to find the answer. I did and I finally won.

The latest update is fellow anime fans helping me identify cosplayers. Here are the cosplay pictures identified and the fans who helped me. Arigato!!!

Update Tuesday January 17, 2006:

Is the Innovator still alive? Hello, everyone. Yes, I'm still alive! ^__^ How is everyone doing? *Says with a smile and concerned* I hope everyone is doing well. 2005 went by super fast. The Super Bowl is a little more than two weeks away ;-)

What happened? On November 14, 2005, I looked at my 2004-2005 goals and one goal I failed was upload 10 new recipes. I uploaded 8 recipes successfully. I was disappointed. I made the choice the next update was going to have 10 recipes--not 2 recipes. I have 10 recipes. Hooray!!!

One goal completed and the latest update is Cooking 101 has 10 new recipes. The recipes has vegetables, how to cut a pineapple, toast French bread in the oven, and others. If there is another way to cook better, do it. Never stop innovating.

Latest in books. I finished reading The Millionaire Next Door by Thomas Stanley and Shuffle Up And Deal by Mike Sexton. Since November 14, 2005, I finished reading two more books and viewed one DVD. The two books were How To Invest In Real Estate With Little Or No Money Down by Robert Irvin and Moneyball by Michael Lewis. Moneyball joined my all-time favorite list. The first 2/3rds of Moneyball was boring; however, the last 1/3rds took the first 2/3rds full circle and brought closure to the book. The DVD was Secrets of No Limit Hold'Em by Howard Lederer. I'm currently reading The Art of War by Sun Tzu and The Erotic Edge *whistle, whistle, whistle* by Lonnie Barbach leisurely. Why leisurely?

The reason is I'm taking a night class at DeAnza College. The class I'm taking is The Business Plan. I'm taking the class to create more doors to open and I hope one of those doors I open I see future successes. We shall see what happens? No expectations T.T

Furthermore, with the time off from reading books daily, there are a ton of ININ updates. Future updates include cosplay pictures from JapanTown Anime Faire 3, outdated Anime Fan is an Anime Fan (yeah, I know, really, really outdated), links, police photos, and much, much more. I have one more Cooking 101 recipe to upload.

Oregon Trip. My Mom, Dad, Uncle, Aunt, and I visited Salem, Oregon November 19, 2005 to November 22, 2005. It was my first time in Oregon. We shopped because Oregon has no sales tax, visited Portland, visited Multnomah Falls, and were interested in the real estate market 0:-) I purchased a manga or Japanese comic book in Portland, shirt and pants at the outlet stores in Woodburn, and Command & Conquer: Generals PC game in Salem. My family and I also gambled in the Indian casinos. I broke even playing craps at the Seven Feathers casino in Canyonville, Oregon. I won $100.00 on the slot machine at the Rolling Hills casino in Corning, California. The 12 hour drive on Interstate 5 was heck-a-long.

Command & Conquer: Generals. After eating at a seafood restaurant in Salem, my family and I went to Best Buy. No sales tax, man. I purchased Command & Conquer: Generals for $19.99. It felt weird buying a product that is not food. In California, products are subject to tax. When the cashier said $19.99, I said to myself, "Wow!" BTW, the other purchases in Oregon were after Best Buy. I played the game two weeks later and on the weekends since. The game is addicting. I'm playing China, and some of the levels are challenging.

Please visit my Blog. As of the update, I have 63 Blog entries. Topics range from my daily life, inner thoughts, and innovating common knowledge. Please visit My Blog.

Inflation? Yes, I'm still sticking with my belief the economy is going to experience another inflation. Hold on tight, everyone.

And finally, anime. I receive lots of anime fans helping me identify cosplayers. Arigato!!! I don't mind receiving multiple updates because if more people identify a cosplayer with the same character name and series, I feel confident the information is correct. The next update is updating the cosplay pictures.

JTAF 3. I like to thank the staff and volunteers for the JapanTown Anime Faire (JTAF) 3 in Japantown San Francisco, CA. Personally, anime fans attending conventions no matter how good or how bad must make the best of the convention. If anime fans don't like bad conventions, why are many anime fans still attending these conventions? One reason is to hang around with other anime fans. I met an anime fan named Korbin who lives in Redding. Thanks for hanging around with me!

Fanime Con Board. At JTAF 3, I attended my first Fanime Con Board gathering. I met some of the well known board members. I like to thank the organizers and some of the board members for attending the gathering. I was a pleasure meeting everyone and I like to know more members and meet more members in future gatherings XD

Tsubasa Chronicle. I cosplayed as Syaoran from Tsubasa Chronicle at JTAF 3. I choose Syaoran because I needed a second cosplay so I can be a multiple cosplayer. I even had Mokona from Magic Knight Rayearth ^__^ Yeah, I know two is nothing compared to the die-hard cosplayers with at least 10 and 20 >.> My cousin introduced me to Tsubasa Chronicle and the story kicks butt. I have the first 4 volumes of the manga.

Thank you for visiting my webpage! Never stop innovating!

Update Saturday October 29, 2005:

The Important Update For Anime Fans. I finally uploaded the cosplay pics for Anime Expo 2005. The costume pictures can be viewed here,

Click To View AX'05 Cosplay Pictures

BTW, it's the only update XD The next two to three weeks I'm going to update a lot of stuff including uploading new pictures, updating content, and much, much more. Stay tuned.

Continuing the anime topic, I'm going to make a new cosplay. I want to be a multi-cosplayer which means I have more than one cosplay. Two cosplays are the most I'm going to do ^_^ Personally speaking, if I cosplayed earlier and if I know sewing skills, I probably cosplay many times like some anime fans who cosplays big time. I may have forgotten to mention that my Mom did the sewing for the coat and vest for my Full Metal Alchemist cosplay. Thanks, Mom!

O.K. What am I cosplaying? Sorry for going off topic. LOL! The second cosplay is Syaoran from Tsubasa Chronicle. My Mom is going to make the green coat. I'm going to do the rest. I hope to have the cosplay completed for JapanTowne Anime Faire 3 (JTAF 3) taking place in San Francisco, CA on December 17-18, 2005.

I'm starting to read manga again. I'm reading Full Metal Alcehmist and Tsubasa Chroncile. Yeah, it's both coincidence and by choice my cosplays match the manga series I'm reading. The best time I read manga is when I'm waiting; for example, waiting at a restaurant to be seated when I'm with my family. Other than waiting, the manga are on my table.

Classical Rock Music. Last month, I gave most of my CD collection to my sister and sister-in-law. Most of the CDs were today's rock and 80s rock. Today's music is commercialized and is crap. I'm starting to collect Classic Rock CDs. The CDs I recently purchased are Fleetwood Mac, Paul McCarthy, and Elton John. I'm going to purchase a lot more in the coming months. Furthermore, my favorite radio station is 98.5 KFOX which plays classical rock.

Congratulations to the Chicago White Sox for winning the 2005 World Series. Chicago Cubs, you are next =_=

Wall Street. I'm referring to the movie =) The movie was fantastic. It's one of my all time favorites. Steve and a few books recommended I watch the movie. The content of the movie still holds true today. I can watch the movie multiple times.

Bookworm. I finished reading three books. The books were Cashflow Quadrant by Robert Kiyosaki, Built To Last by James Collins and Jerry Porras, and Play Poker Like The Pros by Phil Hellmuth, Jr. The Cashflow Quadrant and Rich Dad Poor Dad books need to be read together--both books complement each other. Cashflow Quadrant made my all time favorite list. I'm currently reading Shuffle Up and Deal by Mike Sexson and The Millionare Next Door by Thomas Stanley and William Danko.

Wedding. My cousin got married on Saturday October 8. Great wedding. Some of the highlights included a Chinese Dragon dance and a foundeax of warm chocolate. All good news and exciting times. The bad news was me. My digital camera went crazy. I missed a lot of shots and some of the shots were terrible. Next year, I'm going to upgrade big time to a SLR.

My Blog. I'm happy I'm updating my Blog at least twice a week :D I recently finished my Blog on my Washington Canada trip. In the coming weeks, I provide a .pdf file of my trip Blog on ININ. Meanwhile, I correct errors and combine the Blog entries for the .pdf.

How was the trip? The Washington Canada trip was great. My friend Steve and I visited Seattle in Washington, Victoria and Vancouver in Canada, and some of the smaller cities in Washington. Steve lives on the other side of Seattle. We walked around the downtown areas, gambled at the Indian Casinos, did some sight seeing, and shop. Most of the shops we visited were used book stores >__<

Talking About the Economy. One of my topics I vowed not to mention in the updates was the economy. On my old web site, I constantly talk about the economy including predicting the economy in the next short-term. I was wrong all the time. I'm breaking the vow and I'm going to mention the economy.

My prediction on the economy in the coming months: Inflation. Prices are going up. It's true, however, energy prices are going down. Gas is $.25 a gallon lower in the last month. Perhaps I should mention Inflation because I have always been wrong predicting the economy. Inflation is not good. For those who don't know what Inflation is, Inflation basically is when prices go up. And I'm not going to mention anything on the housing market *runs away and hides*

Update Sunday August 21, 2005:

*Smiling* My health is back to normal. I'm no longer sick. No more coughing, itchy throat, and stuffy nose. Thank goodness. I think I dodged a big sickness. I'm still going to take it easy to avoid a double whammy which happened to me in July 2000.

And the reason why I'm taking it easy is because on Saturday August 27, 2005, I'm going to Washington and Canada to visit a friend. My friend lives in Washington and we plan to visit Canada for two days. It's going to be the first time I visit Washington and Canada. Also, it's my first time I visit a foreign country. I return Saturday September 3, 2005. Add the trip to Innovating Infinitely my life. Yay!

I'm currently reading Build To Last by Jim Collins and Jerry Porras, Play Poker Like The Pros by Phil Hellmuth (a second time--reading only the Texas Hold'Em Section), and Cashflow Quadrant by Robert Kiyosaki. I currently don't have any books to read afterwards. I know I find some very soon.

Full Metal Alchemist Fans, pre-orders for the second box set metal bin are taking place. Visit you nearest anime retailer and get your pre-order. The second box set metal bin includes DVD#6 and the second original soundtrack. Funimation raised the price to $49.95 from $39.95.

My Blog is going. As of the update, there are seven blog entries. Please visit my blog Innovating Common Knowledge here.

Here are the updates:

My next update is likely going to be in late September. I plan to upload Anime Expo 2005 cosplay pictures in October. Sorry for the late upload. I hope there are some anime fans still interested in viewing AX 05 cosplay pics at a late date.

Update Monday August 15, 2005:

Catching Up. Yesterday was major catching up. I did a lot of stuff on my to-do list yesterday. I'm almost caught up. Also, I feel much better compared to last week. Minor updates today which were updating the cosplayers. I like to thank the people who emailed me to help identify cosplayers I don't recognize. And I forgot to thank devilwings2235 a long time ago for providing a link for the Psycho Le Cemu cosplayers for Anime Overdose 2005.

Update Thursday August 11, 2005:

I have been sick during the week. Sorry there are no updates. I have been consistently updating ININ for the past four weeks--very rare =__= Who knows how long I update weekly? LOL The upcoming weekend is major catch up. I hope to add something new and update the beginning of next week. I did not forget updating my goals for 2005-2006 and I received a few more updates for identifying cosplayers.

Update Tuesday August 2, 2005:

Busy, busy, busy, busy, busy, busy, . . . I have so much to do sometimes I wish I just stop going to work and get paid finishing my other stuff and activities. It doesn't have to pay well. When I complete something such as update my webpage and read books, I really learn something. Really!

O.K. Time for the latest events. First, no Blog entry. I still have my first Blog entry on the top of my list. I hope to input my first Blog on Wednesday. Second, Anime Expo 2005 cosplay pictures. It's a 100% definite I'm going to start on the AX 05 pics in September. For those who visit my webpage to look at my cosplay pics, it's worth the wait. It looks like I'm going to have at least 500 pictures. Third, I'm happy to say I completed almost all my 2004-2005 goals. I evaluate my goals and create 2005-2006 goals soon.

It happened twice. Yesterday, a group of kids driving fast on the street took a neighbor's recycling bin and threw the bin and the recyclables in front my house and street. Fortunately, no property was damaged. The police department told me the nuisance happens nightly. It took my Dad and I about 15 minutes to clean up the mess. Kids, you have a brain. Use it to find other activities to do during the summers. Try playing poker XD

Ichiro Error Fixed. Click here to view the Ichiro Operates On A Higher Plane article in .pdf. Ichiro is an example of a person who innovates . . . he innovates his batting skills.

Here are the Updates:

More updates are coming. Thank you for visiting my webpage. Never stop innovating!

Update Monday July 25, 2005:

More than half way for 2005. Hello, everyone. How is everyone's 2005 going? The last week of July and August is next week. Is 2005 going really fast? XD For me, really fast!

Ichiro Error. The link below for "Ichiro Operates On A Higher Plane" doesn't work. Sorry. I should have checked the link. I do have a hard copy and I scan the article to view at Stories, Lists, Jokes, Tid-Bits (SLJTB) shortly.

Anime Expo 2005. I like to thank the staff and volunteers for Anime Expo 2005. I enjoyed cosplaying and I saw some great costumes. I met new people, purchased goods from the Dealers Room, watched some great Anime Music Videos, and I had a good time. For those who complain about waiting in lines, get use to it -__* Anime Expo has grown and it's a very popular convention. Unfortunately, it's going to be a long time for me to upload the AX cosplay pictures. Please wait <:-)

Finished Another Book. I finished reading How To Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie. Great book. I also finished The Art of Hugging by William Cane. The hugging book helps those with no confidence to hug anyone. I'm currently reading Built To Last by Jim Collins, Play Poker Like The Pros by Phil Hellmuth, Jr., and Cashflow Quadrant by Robert Kiyosaki.

I reduced prices for my half.com DVDs and some books. The 33% price reduction applies to all my DVDs and a few books (since most of my books were at $.75, the minimum price for half.com). Please click here to view my store at half.com or click here to view my DVDs and books for sale on my website.

Updates. Here are the updates. More updates are coming within the week.

  • Fanime Con 2005 Pictures. Thank you to those who emailed to help identified cosplayers and correct misidentified cosplayers.
  • Anime Overdose 2005 Pictures. Thank you to those who emailed to help identified cosplayers. I could not verify all the corrections I received :-(

Update Monday July 18, 2005:

Minor Updates. Added a few links, added AFI's Top 100 Movie Quotes to SLJTB, and corrected minor HTML error for all Anime Pages.

Check out two articles. The first is titled "Ichiro Operates On A Higher Plane." The article talks about Ichiro Suzuki's record breaking 262 hits in 2004. The second article is titled "Unconference--The BloggerCon Format." The article talks about a different way to host a panel or conference.

And Fanime Con 2005 Cosplay Pictures are uploaded.

Update Sunday July 17, 2005:

Finally! Fanime Con 2005 Cosplay Pictures Uploaded. The cosplay pics are uploaded XD Click here to look. I appreciated any help identifying any cosplayers I don't know and correcting misidentified cosplayers. Arigato!!

Update Wednesday June 1, 2005:

Fanime Con 2005. I like to thank the staff and volunteers of Fanime Con 2005 for running a great convention. I had a great time and did a lot of activities. Most of the activities were first time activities. Here are the first timers:

  • Cosplayed as Edward Elric from Full Metal Alchemist (actually, third time overall, but first time at Fanime Con XD); in additional, I attended my first cosplay gathering.
  • Met lots of new people--I really mean it. I met a lot of great, funny, and interesting people.
  • Got glomped many times. Not just one person per convention. I was glomped many times. And I received a mental hug from a sweet written glomp.
  • A panelist for a panel I started. I had a good turnout even though the room was small and the audience did a good amount of talking instead of me talking all the time.
  • Hosted No-Limit Texas Hold'em tournaments. Got a great turnout during the evenings and late, late evenings to the early, early mornings. I like to thank the staff that participated in the tournaments who provided prizes for the later tournaments.
  • Didn't watch any videos. I recognize the video programming was the best such that any congoer is going to find a video to watch; unfortunately, my activities took precedence over videos. I think the 2005 video programming is the best I have seen since I started attending anime conventions. Daytime and afternoon marathons were a good choice to provide.
  • Took too many cosplay pictures. It's going to take a long time to upload the photos. I don't know when the photos are going to be completed.

Looking ahead. With over 1GB of Fanime Con 2005 cosplay photos, it's going to take a long time to identify and upload the photos. I never had that many photos before. In June, there are a lot of activities I have to do, and since my Memorial Day was spent at Fanime con 2005, I'm behind on commitments before the convention. I don't know what to do? Here are my activities and commitments for June through maybe August prioritized:

  1. Update ININ to let everyone know I'm still around
  2. Pay my credit card bills
  3. Scan and email two sketches from two Fanime Con goers who sketched me as Edward Elric when we were waiting for the dealers room to open so they can submit for a contest
  4. Finish reading my SQL book (I anticipate completion in seven days I hope)
  5. Complete personal requests for Fanime Con 2005 cosplay pictures
  6. Begin uploading Fanime Con 2005 cosplay pictures

And the list doesn't include my brother moving back to California and help him move to his new apartment, my sister graduating college, preparing Anime Expo 2005, going to the gym, and watching anime DVDs. Also, I'm currently reading How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie and Play Poker Like The Pros by Phil Hellmuth, Jr. And I haven't started reading the Full Metal Alchemist manga. (I know I rarely read manga, if not, I don't read at all; however, reading the Full Metal Alchemist manga is a must for me. ^__^)

No updates to ININ. The only update is the update. I'm getting tired. Heck, I'm still tired from the convention. I may have screwed this update somewhere. I'm going to take it easy for the next three days and start fresh next week. I also like to get back to my gym schedule. I have been lacking in the last three weeks.

Update Monday April 4, 2005:

Another update in less than 24 hours? Anyways . . . I started Sunday April 3, 2005 update being sad and frustrated I have not found another job. Perhaps, my job searching woes is out of my control. After reading CNBC.com's Market Dispatches for the stock market on Friday, I read there are some people talking about Stagflation. Stagflation is prices and interest rates are going up with low economic growth and low job growth. The last time there was Stagflation was during the 1970s when I was a toddler. Perhaps the threat of Stagflation in the economy is affecting my job search. And honestly speaking, the number of job search results from my weekly job search results emails has been decreasing. Maybe the economy is at a Stagflation. Gas prices are going up.

I forgot to mention yesterday someone helped me identify a cosplay photo from JapanTown Anime Faire 2004.

Update Sunday April 3, 2005:

Staring out sad and frustrated. I have been keeping the following low key and few people know about it. I'm going to share with everyone. I have been searching for a new job since August 2004. I received four calls, and three of the calls were positions I either was not qualified or didn't fit my job skills. I temporarily stopped job searching. Instead, I have been using the time to update my webpage, learn JavaScript, learn SQL, and research stocks.

Despite the good news about the economy (which is true--the economy is improving), many companies are hiring, and I know some people who found new jobs, somehow I have been getting bad luck finding a new job and a new career. I have done everything I can to the best of my knowledge and experience finding a new job; unfortunately, no success. I updated my resume and I created a cover letter. I'm doing something correct because I have generated interest from a few companies. I don't know what else to do? What am I doing wrong?

O.K., enough being sad. Time to cheer up. On the Sunday June 13, 2004 update, I mentioned phasing out anime. I have never mentioned phasing out since. I was supposed to make a choice at the end of 2004 to start phasing out anime. I made a choice. The choice is I'm not going to phase out anime. I have found new activities related to anime which kept my interest in the anime hobby. For example, I started to cosplay and I became active to meet new anime fans. And I watched new anime which are really good. I started to watch Bleach, Azumanga Daioh, and Chrono Crusade. I finished watching the Kenshin TV series and the OAV series.

Finally purchased a laptop. On February 2005, I purchased a Dell Inspiron 8600. I received a great Dell coupon and it was now the time to buy a laptop; unfortunately, when I went to the Dell website, the 5160 was phased-out. I was forced to purchase the 8600 because the newer Dell laptops I had to wait a minimum six months for the reviews and for Dell to correct any flaws during the new laptop's initial release. The Inspiron 8600 is a 15.4 inch widescreen with a Pentium Intel-M Centrino chip. The specifications are the following:

  • Pentium M Processor 755 2.0GHz with 802.11b/g Free Wireless Upgrade
  • 40GB Hard Drive
  • 512MB RAM
  • 128MB ATI Radeon Video Card
  • 24x DVD-ROM/CD-RW Combo Drive

Also in February 2005, I became sick. 17 months of not being sick. Close, but no tie. I blame my sickness to fatigue and stress. The new lesson I learned is don't overstress myself and don't plan for multiple big events. On the day I did two big events, it was stressful and a rush to complete the two big events. Usually, I plan one big event because my big events take the entire day. Planning two big events in one day was a mistake. My personal record of not being sick was 18 months which took place between August 2000 and February 2002.

A new gym schedule. I innovated my gym schedule. In the past, I go to the gym two days a week which must be between Wednesday and Friday. Instead, I go to the gym on Fridays and Sundays. The advantages are Fridays and Sundays are days the gym is not busy; I can spend more time after work between Mondays and Thursdays reading books, learning SQL, learning ASP.Net, learning JavaScript, researching stocks; and I have more time on weekdays for activities I can't do on Sundays.

No Number 1 Moment from the Top 30 Most Memorable Moments. I'm taking back my Number 1 Most Memorable Moments from my Top Ten. I'm being honest with myself my Number 1 Most Memorable is not my most memorable moment. I'm going to save my Number 1 Most Memorable Moment when my true Number 1 Most Memorable Moment happens regardless the moment happens after my 30th birthday.

Anime Overdose 2005 and Cosplay Pictures. I like to thank the staff and volunteers for Anime Overdose 2005. I attended one day and I could not stay for the evening events. I did have fun during my attendance, and I saw the people I met from JapanTown Anime Faire 2004. The cosplay pictures are not uploaded. I didn't have the time to upload the pictures. I hope to upload the pictures at the end of April 2005.

Dermatitis. For the past two months I have red blisters on my right and left hands. At first, I thought they were burns because I scrap my hand while I was changing the oil on one of the family cars. I had my doctor looked at my hand and he referred me to a Dermatologist. I have an appointment on Monday after a two week delay. In addition to the Dermatologist looking at my Dermatitis, I hope the doctor can help me with my acne and blackheads. That's correct. I'm the 1 in 10 adults in America who have an acne problem while an adult. It's time to look better.

Minor Updates. All of the updates are minor. Added two new quotes, updated Top 30 Most Memorable Moments, added two new SLJTB, added some new links, updated About Me, and updated About ININ. I added two links below the navigator links on the left column requesting people to support ININ by bidding on my eBay auctions and/or buying at my half.com store.

Update Sunday January 9, 2005:

More minor, minor updates. Updated Cooking 101 Scrambled Eggs and someone helped identify a cosplay photo from Anime Expo 2003.

Update Saturday January 1, 2005:

Minor, minor updates. Corrected a few misspelled words from Cooking 101.

Update Wednesday December 29, 2004:

I like to start by being personal. Everyone makes mistakes. Even me. Some people think I'm a perfect person and people are intimidated such that people are afraid to make a mistake when I'm around and I'm going to demeanor them. I'm not the perfect person. I do make mistakes. Maybe I'm being deceptive because I make fewer mistakes, and many mistakes I make I correct them before anyone else notices? When I make a mistake, I admit I made a mistake. I don't blame someone or something else. I'm mentioning that I'm not a perfect person and I make mistakes because the people I interact daily I bail people out of their problems and help them solve problems which creates a false image I-am-the-know-it-all. I'm not. I still have a lot to learn. I help people who make mistakes because there are people who help me when I make a mistake. It goes both ways. Thank you for hearing me out.

How about an example. Here is one example of a mistake. Recently, I disabled my Image Protection option. Image Protection prevents people from linking images from your web site to lower bandwidth. Unfortunately, I found out a few people were linking some of my images on forums for people to view, and when someone clicks on the image link, a server error message appears. I didn't like that because I want people to visit my website and view my images. The number of hits to ININ has increased. I am, however, going to watch my monthly bandwidth.

End Year 2004. Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year 2005. Some people had a good 2004 and some people had a bad 2004. 2004 started bad for me. Fortunately, events beginning in September saved 2004 from becoming a bad year to a not that bad year--between good and bad. Honestly, I could say May was when 2004 was saved from becoming a bad year because ININ went online. I'm still debating myself.

Since November 1, 2004, I finished reading Negotiating For Dummies by Michael Donaldson and Mimi Donaldson and I completed reading Swim With The Sharks Without Being Eaten Alive by Harven Mackay. Also, I signed up at PartyPoker.net and played Limit Texas Hold 'Em with play money, got a new crewcut, visited Las Vegas, scored a 70 feedback on eBay which was one of my goals, and finally, finally added JavaScript. It's not much JavaScript, but it's a start XD. On Monday December 27, I purchased Call Of Duty: Finest Hour for the GameCube. The video game was my first since I purchased the GameCube. Excellent game. I just have to find some time to play it.

The Las Vegas mini vacation. Monday December 13 to Wednesday December 15, I went to Las Vegas with a friend who lives in Washington. (Please visit his web site. The links are below.) We stayed at Paris Las Vegas and the Bellagio. We were lucky to stayed at the Bellagio overlooking the strip and the water show. One activity we did was visit Binion's Horseshoe where The World Series of Poker was held. I played low limit Texas Hold 'Em for the first time. Great mini-vacation.

Visit a friend's web site. Please visit Stephen's Web Site and Stephen's Second Web Site. Steve lives in Lilliwaup, Washington and likes to travel, read, learn investments, and watch movies. He created the web sites in November 2004.

Always prepare, always plan ahead, always think ahead. What the heck does it mean? Some people say to live life is to have a family, work, and play. It's a general formula to live life daily. Raise a family, go to work to make an income, and find time to relax. When I read Swim With The Sharks, I learned one word which is Preparation. I'm going to innovate the formula: to live life is to have a family, work, play, and prepare or Family + Work + Play + Prepare = Great Life. Always find time to prepare for the next week, the next month, the next six months, the next year, and/or the next two years. (For single people, family is not in the formula, yet? XD)

What do I mean prepare? I explain by telling what I did in 2004 to prepare for 2005:

  • Purchased books on SQL and ASP.Net to expand my technology skills
  • Currently reading Good to Great by Jim Collins to begin 2005 book reading
  • Researched digital scales and PayPal's shipping services and labels to ship future eBay auction goods faster without standing in lines at the Post Office
  • Selected my first laptop from Dell Computer and timing the best discounts so I can purchase at the lowest price possible
  • Cosplayed as Edward Elric from Full Metal Alchemist in the 2004 JapanTown Anime Faire and ready to cosplay in 2005 and hope to meet new people
  • Created a personal stock template to help select stocks because I think it's time to buy stocks
  • Created a better flexible gym schedule (The goal of a consistent gym workout is removed)
  • Wrote an initial itinerary for Anime Expo 2005 because I'm going to drive to Anaheim and stay at the Anabella Hotel
  • Practiced my interviewing skills and created a cover letter to apply for new jobs

So in 2005 . . . Any big or small preparation is preparation. Between January and March 2005, I plan to fix minor problems to my Edward Elric costume, begin reading SQL and ASP.Net, continue adding JavaScript to my ININ web site, create an Access database for my expenses, continue practicing my interview skills, and find small cap stocks to invest. In April 2005, I'm going to be selling more items on eBay. I hope with the hard work, determination, and luck, I hope 2005 is going to be a great year, and I also hope 2006 is going to be a great year because I never had back-to-back great years.

Black Friday 2004. Friday November 26, 2004 was Black Friday 2004. Black Friday 2004 was my first time I shopped the day after Thanksgiving. There were lots of deals at the stores I went. One store had many of their specials sold out. It was not worth my time to wake up early and beat the crowds. I rather pay a little more for shipping and handling than to drive from store to store. I found better deals after Christmas.

Anime In Brief. I like to thank my cousin Jessica for continuing to lend me the Rurouni Kenshin TV Series. As of the time of the update, I watched 74 episodes. The series is great and is one of my all time favorites. I'm also watching Azumanga Daioh and MahoRomantic. And, for those who don't know, the Full Metal Alchemist first DVD is released on February 2005, not January 2005.

Books and DVDs for sale at half.com. Click book and DVD list in .pdf to view books and DVDs for sale at my half.com store.

The updates. Here are the latest updates:

  • FMA Cosplay. Added a picture when I passed out candy during Halloween 2004.
  • Favorite Quotes. Added another Simpsons quote.
  • Family Photo Album. Added two pictures from the mini Las Vegas trip.
  • Police Car Photos. More police cars photos. I categorized the police car by a combination of city, state, and county.
  • Stocks 101. Added a few more definitions.
  • Cooking 101. Added Pancakes, Chinese Cabbage, and Mashed Potatoes.
  • Links. New links added in half of the subcategory links.

Update Saturday October 30, 2004:

Six month anniversary. November 1, 2004 is the six month anniversary ININ became online. I like to thank all the visitors and I hope everyone enjoyed surfing my web site. ININ web site never stops innovating. There are no updates. I'm just mentioning the six month anniversary and a couple of items below.

Books and DVDs for sale at half.com. Click book and DVD list in .pdf to view books and DVDs for sale at my half.com store.

Full Metal Alchemist Complete Best CD. Last week I purchased the Full Metal Alchemist Complete Best CD. The CD includes all the opening and ending themes. There is also a 120 page book with color pictures and drawings and a Region 2 DVD containing the opening and ending sequences without the credits. The CD is a limited edition and production ceases on January 2005. The January 2005 date was verified by two sources.

Update Wednesday October 27, 2004:

Reverse the Curse. Congratulations to the Boston Red Sox for winning the 2004 World Series. The last time the Red Sox won the World Series was in 1918.

Update Sunday October 3, 2004:

The next big update completed. Let's get straight to the updates:

  • 2004 JapanTown Anime Faire (JTAF). Cosplay pictures. I appreciate help identifying some costume photos.
  • 2004 Anime Expo. Mentioning again about the cosplay pictures uploaded in September.
  • 2004 Fanime Con. I created two pages to view the cosplay pictures.
  • Anime CD. Added more CDs to the list.
  • Anime Fan. Updated to version 4.01.
  • FMA Cosplay. I cosplayed for the first time as Edward Elric from Full Metal Alchemist.
  • Top Ten. Updated Top 41 Favorite Anime Songs and shared my Top 30 Most Memorable Moments.
  • Police Photos. More police cars photos.
  • Stocks 101. More definitions for investing in stocks.
  • Cooking 101. More recipes with pictures. I edited the existing recipes and switched the photos from the left to the right. I think it's easier to read the recipes after the switch.
  • Links. New links added in almost all of the subcategory links.
  • About Me. I added my one year, three year, and five year goals. It's good to have goals for professional, personal, and leisure.

Cosplaying for the first time. I cosplayed for the first time as Edward Elric from Full Metal Alchemist at the 2004 JapanTown Anime Faire (JTAF) officially known as JTAF 2. The costume took two months to complete, and was completed on the day of the convention. I appreciated the positive comments I received from fellow anime fans. And I was glomped for the first time. XD

eBay. I'm going to sell items on eBay. If everything goes according to schedule, I should be selling on eBay Sunday October 11, 2004 to Sunday October 18, 2004. Some items I'm selling include GameCube video games, a DragonBallZ Mouse Pad, and a picture frame. Please click Raymond Mar's eBay Auction to view my eBay auctions. Starting bids are $0.01.

half.com. Also, I'm selling very old college textbooks, other books, and two anime DVDs at half.com. The prices are as low as $0.75. Please click Raymond Mar's Books on half.com to view my books and anime DVDs for sale. Book conditions vary from almost new to fair.

Goals. I'm currently reading Negotiating For Dummies by Michael Donaldson and Mimi Donaldson. I try to read between 10-15 pages because, honestly, the book is boring; however, the book has great concepts and information. My favorite chapter so far is about setting goals. The book does the best explanation on the importance of goals. As a result, I created my goals. There is nothing wrong creating too many goals because some goals can be delayed, combined, or removed for valid reasons.

The rest of 2004. Was 2004 a fast year? To me, the answer is yes. The rest of my activities include reading more books, become a better stock investor, maintain my gym schedule, and purchase a laptop. I'm also sick free for 2004. I credit drinking green tea. I hope to break my personal record of not being sick for 18 months. Thank you for visiting my webpage.

Update Sunday September 19, 2004:

The start of the next big update. I going to start the next big update by uploading the Anime Expo 2004 cosplay pictures. It took a long time to crop and edit the pictures. The costumes were spectacular. Click 2004 Anime Expo (AX) Cosplay Pictures to view the pictures. I appreciate help identifying some costume photos I couldn't identify. Click on the Help Identify link and send an email. Thank you.

Update Saturday September 11, 2004:

Where are the Anime Expo 2004 pictures? I apologize for no pictures. Late July and August were bad months for me. Today, I'm attending the JapanTown Anime Faire 2 and cosplaying for the first time as Edward Elric from Full Metal Alchemist. The next update is going to be another big update just like when ININ became online on May 1, 2004.

Update Sunday July 11, 2004:

Anime Expo 2004. I attended all four days at Anime Expo 2004. I like to thank the staff and volunteers for the convention. I spent $150.00 at the dealers room which is not that bad. I took lots of cosplay pictures. I hope to have the photos uploaded to my web page in the next two to three weeks.

Update Sunday June 13, 2004:

One month anniversary. Its been more than one month ININ is at its new home. Time files fast. Does 2004 seem to be going fast? I think so. Time flies fast when there is so much stuff to do. For me, I wake up on Monday morning, and a blink of an eye, it's already Friday. Moreover, I think 2004 seems to be a plain year--not a boring year such that nothing happens--but a plain year where it's the usual activities and routines. That's just me.

Fanime Con 2004. I like to thank the staff and volunteers of Fanime Con 2004 for a good convention. I attended all four days including staying awake at the entire Full Metal Alchemist Midnight Marathon. I sat on the left section, second row, and first seat furthest to the left. I stayed awake for 26 hours before, during, and after the marathon. When I went home, I slept for a long time. For those who stayed awake entirely, email me and tell me your impressions.

More Fanime Con 2004. The cosplay pictures are uploaded. Click 2004 Fanime Con Cosplay Pictures to view the pictures. All of the cosplay pictures looked really good. Perhaps, I should cosplay one of these conventions. I wonder who?

Phasing out? During Fanime Con 2004, I met someone I have not seen in five years. He attends U.C. Irvine and graduates in June 2004. We talked about a lot of stuff including anime, video games, and careers. In particular, he told me he was phasing out anime. Phasing out! Wow! After the conversation and during the rest of the convention, honestly, I thought about phasing out. In other words, watch less anime, attend fewer anime conventions, and spend less time on anime to the point where I stop being an anime fan.

The reason is time. I realized that I have other activities, new hobbies to explore, books I want to read, learn something new, and places I like to visit. Don't get the wrong idea. Anime is a great hobby. Perhaps, I do need to spend less time on anime and more time to develop and expand more current activities. Also, I need more time to find new activities to try out. And, more importantly, save some money.

December 31, 2004. It's the date I'm going to make a choice whether to start phasing out anime or not. Before the date, anime remains my favorite hobby. I'm still going to attend conventions, watch DVDs, listen to CDs, and keep up with the latest events. My other long time hobbies were GI Joe between 1983 and 1989, Transformers between 1984 and 1989, and collecting baseball cards between 1988 and 1992. My longest and current hobby is video games. I started playing video games in 1983 with the Atari 2600. I never was a hardcore video gamer. I was an average player in Street Fighter in the early 1990s. I'm more into Classic Games. Heck, the last time I played a video game on the PC was Starcraft :-)

Interested in Playstation 2 and GameCube. I'm planning to purchase both systems :-o Why? Time Crisis 3 for the PS2 and Super Smash Brothers Melee for the GC. For Time Crisis 3, I really don't want to drive to Milpitas Golfland and spend $5.00 in tokens plus gas (gas prices are high). Time Crisis 3 is my all-time favorite gun shooting game. For Super Smash Brothers Melee, I see people play the game and I got interested. Granted I'm not going to be a pro. I just want to play the game and have fun. I hope I'm not going to purchase additional games o:-)

Latest book. The latest book I'm reading is Bringing Down The House. Written by Ben Mezrich, the book is about M.I.T students who went to Las Vegas and won millions.

eBay. If you have spare time, click Raymond Mar's Items For Sale to find items I'm selling on eBay. My junk may be your treasure.

Thank you for visiting ININ. The other updates are a new recipe in Cooking 101, more links, and more definitions in Stocks 101. I hope the next update I have some JavaScript. I also like to update my Top 41 Favorite Anime Songs. I'm thinking about a bias criteria. The bias criteria is each anime series that has two or more favorite anime songs, the maximum songs allowed on the Top 41 is two. I like to recognize as many anime series on the list as possible. It's just an experiment.

Update Sunday June 6, 2004:

Sorry, no pictures. I apologize there are no Fanime Con 2004 pictures. It's taking longer than I thought. And I had other stuff to do during the weekend. I hope to upload the pictures next weekend. Thanks for waiting.

Update Tuesday June 1, 2004:

Take it easy and rest. I attended Fanime Con 2004 at the San Jose Convention Center during Memorial Day weekend. I like to thank the staff and volunteers of Fanime Con 2004 for a good convention. I'm going to take it easy and rest this week, especially after watching 17 episodes of Full Metal Alchemist on Midnight Marathon Monday and staying awake for 26 hours. My initial plan is to upload some pictures on Friday June 4 and/or Saturday June 5.

Update Between 05/09/04 and 05/01/04:

Update already? Wow, that was fast. I'm in a good mood with my new page. Nothing really spectacular happened last week. The updates are new police photos, Anime Overdose 2004 cosplay pictures, more links, and two new entries to the SLJTB. The next update is an updated top anime songs. The songs from Fooly Cooly (FLCL) need to be added. And I'm going to start adding JavaScript.

Update Between 05/01/04 and 03/30/03:

I have a new home. After many delays, I finally have a new web page. More memory. More bandwidth. More good stuff. I guess I can call myself a webmaster. I like to thank Geocities because they hosted my first web page between 1998 and 2004. And I like to thank the people who have visited my web page. Oh, yeah. And I apologize to those people who never saw any updates since March 30, 2003. I made a choice in July 2003 to create a new web page with a new look and new content. Having a new home with all the stuff a webmaster can use is a new experience with me. I can't wait to learn more.

Where should I start? There is so much that happened since March 30, 2003. eBay, increasing my financial education, San Jose State Professional Development courses, anime, 2003 family vacation, two weddings, sick, staying healthy, and looking forward for the rest of 2004. I start with eBay.

eBay is a great on-line auction to buy and sell. The more I sold on eBay, the easier the process is, and I get rid of items I don't need. It's simple to sell on eBay. It takes some research and preparation to make the selling process easier. Before selling, I recommend earning a 10 feedback score for a gold star by purchasing ten items to gain experience and to establish a good reputation. I might be selling items you want. Click Raymond Mar's Items For Sale to find items I'm selling.

I have been increasing my financial education to become a better investor since Fall 2002. I read Rich Dad Poor Dad, Prophecy, and Retire Young Retire Rich by Robert Kiyosaki and Beating The Street and One Up On Wall Street by Peter Lynch. I also attended seminars on cash flow, taxes for the small businesses, and technical analysis. I read books on how to read financial statements. And I signed up at The Motley Fool for their weekly newsletters for financial and investment tips and education. Currently, I'm creating templates and notes from One Up On Wall Street to help me find good stocks.

Another book I read was Who's Looking Out For Your by Bill O'Reilly. O'Reilly gives lessons to help find people who can look out for you (and you better look out for them). Keep the good people and avoid the bad people. I also finished Negotiating For Your Life by Nicole Schapiro. The two books I read helped me become a better person.

I recommended three books that can help someone become a better person: Ten Things I Wish I'd Known Before I Went Out Into the Real World by Maria Shriver, Don't Sweat The Small Stuff . . . And It's All Small Stuff by Richard Carlson, and The Seven Habits Of Highly Effective People by Stephen Covey. I don't think of these books as self-help books to solve personal problems; rather I think of these books as knowledge books to become a better person.

At the San Jose State University Professional Development Center, I took 25+ Internet Marketing Techniques and High Impact Influence and Negotiation Strategies in 2003. In January 2004, I took Graphics for Communicators Using Illustrator and Photoshop.

Anime time. I attended three anime conventions in 2003: Fanime Con, Anime Expo, and Japan Town Anime Faire. I like to thank the staff and volunteers for organizing their conventions. I sold my used anime at the Fanime Con swap meet. Anime Expo 2003 was my all-time favorite convention. Japan Town Anime Faire 2003 was San Francisco's first anime convention held in Japantown. Overall, 2003 was a good year for anime. I watched the following series: Chobits, I My Me Strawberry Eggs, El Hazard: The Magnificent World, Haibane-Renmei, Please Teacher, Read or Die OAV, Sakura Wars Second OAV, Steam Detectives, and Sugar, A Little Snow Fairy. I finally finished watching Love Hina and the first season of Sailor Moon. I'm almost done watching Revolutionary Girl Utena.

My family took another big vacation. There were two weddings in Southern California within one week. My family choose to take a vacation between the two weddings. The first wedding was in Pasadena and the second wedding was in San Diego. Between the weddings, we visited Huntington Library, Hoover Dam, Las Vegas, Grand Canyon, and Coronado Island. In Las Vegas, we stayed at The Excalibur, Luxor, and Paris-Las Vegas. And we saw Cirque du Soleil's "O" at the Bellagio.

After the vacation, I become sick again. I had bronchitis. The sickness lasted two months. After the two months, I maintained my gym workout and started to drink green tea everyday. Today, my health is great.

Congratulations to the United States, Great Britain, and the supporting allies of the armed forces participating in the Iraq War and the capturing of Saddam Hussein. I like to thank the brave men and women for upholding peace and I wish for them to come home safely.

Finally, looking forward to the rest of 2004. I think 2004 is going to be a flat year. The jobless economic recovery is going to be slow. There are going to be some gains and some losses. I know I sound boring and plain, well, heck, it's going to be a boring and plain 2004.

With the new format, the web page updates are located to the right. A new feature is the Flash Updates. In the past, I update my web page about three to four times a year. The Flash Updates allows me to update minor parts of the web page and share the latest information and current events.

Update between 03/30/03 and 12/28/02:

If I may, I like to vent some anger. Why can't we take care of ourselves? There are lots of people who don't get it. For example, in Winter 2003, there were lots of sick people. Some people don't take care of themselves when they are sick. They come to work as if they feel great. Please, sick people, do other people a favor and rest, take necessary medications, and drink water. Thank you.

Each update, there is a Police Car Photo Of The Update. Click on the link or the photo for a full size.

Congratulations to Spirted Away which won the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature. Disney announced a wide theatrical release for Friday March 28. The DVD release on April 15 may be delayed if the movie is successful.

I'm continuing to read XML and JavaScript. Next month, I hope to start creating a web page to practice JavaScript.

Here are some health information I read:

  • Dirty skin and a bad diet doesn't cause acne. Excessive cleaning makes acne worse.
  • Eat a good breakfast with whole grain to keep energize throughout the day. Avoid sugary snacks which can slow down a person.

I finished reading Robert Kiyosaki's Rich Dad Poor Dad and Prophecy. The Prophecy contains how to prepare for the next stock market crash. If anyone wants to read Prophecy, read Rich Dad Poor Dad first to know Kiyosaki's background and to get a different perspective on how to become rich.

eBay is a great place to find bargains and rare items. I purchased 12 items and I saved lots of money. In the next two to four months, I'm going to sell items. More and more people are going to shop online.

Finally, I want to give thanks and my respect to the men and women of the armed forces during Operation Iraqi Freedom. I hope the brave men and women come home soon and I hope for the very best.

The next update is planned for August 2003 or September 2003. Future activities include Fanime Con 2003, Anime Expo 2003, and two weddings. I'm also planning to take some financial seminars.

The updates were minor and more links were added.

Click Update Archives to view past updates. Thank you for visiting my web page.

Update between 12/28/02 and 09/01/02:

Happy Holidays and Happy New Year. What a fast year. How fast is 2003? Keep busy and 2003 goes as fast as light speed. The economy remains slow because there is too much uncertainty. Prepare for the worst and prepare for the future.

Fellow anime fans, watch Spirted Away. The music is terrific and the animation is excellent. I watched the movie twice. And I watched Evangelion: Death and Rebirth and End of Evangelion. I can watch the series 10 times and I'm not going to understand 100%. I listened to the commentaries from Death and Rebirth and End and there was information and symbolism I didn't catch.

Here are preventive measures from a co-worker when a wallet or purse is stolen:

  • Photocopy the front and back of credit cards, bank cards, licenses, passports, etc. Writing down identifications, expiration dates, and phone numbers is another option. Keep the information in a safe place and ready to call and to cancel.
  • Call the three national credit reporting organizations to place a fraud alert. The organizations are Equifax, Experian (formerly TWR), and Trans Union.
  • File a police report in the jurisdiction where the wallet or purse was stolen.

Another co-worker introduced Robert Kiyosaki's Rich Dad Poor Dad series. I recommend to read his first book titled "Rich Dad Poor Dad." Read the book objectively because there are lots of information about the rich, and it's more than real estate. Does anyone have passive income?

During Thanksgiving, my family went to Santa Barbara and Los Angeles. We visited one of my uncle's family and the New Chinatown in San Gabriel. Those who want to hear popular music in the Santa Barbara and Ventura area, listen to 95.1 FM. For Christmas, my family stayed in San Jose and another of my uncle's family visited from Southern California.

I opened an eBay account. I spent hours on eBay during my first visits finding bargains and hard to find items. My first purchase was a Sega Dreamcast video game. I could have done half of my Christmas shopping at eBay.

Looking in 2003, I'm going to re-read XML again and find a book with exercises. When I'm done, I'm going to create a practice web page containing XML and JavaScript. I hope to finish before December 2003.

Other activities in 2003 include increasing my investment knowledge by reading Kiyosaki's Prophecy and take courses at Charles Schwab. I'm researching to purchase a Digital Camera. My next new physical activity is Indoor Wall Climbing. And there is the weekly activities of anime, video games, gym, and relaxing.

Finally, some number fives in 2003. April 2003 is my web page's fifth anniversary. Anime Expo 2003 is my fifth year in a row attending. And July 2003 is my fifth year on the workforce.

Most of the updates are a ton of new links.

Click Update Archives to view past updates. Thank you for visiting my web page. Please remember to shop and shop around and find the best bargain for durable goods.

Update between 09/01/02 and 05/26/02:

I like to acknowledge Delta Sergeants Gary Gordon and Randy Shughart who were awarded the Medal of Honor for their bravery in the Somilia War. The movie Black Hawk Down is the first movie I watched where I couldn't turn it off in the middle.

"No one gets left behind." --Major General William Garrison.

The last of 2002 is approaching. How fast is the year closing? Costco is selling Halloween candy and Christmas snowmans. When is the economic recovery? I think the recovery begins in 2004 and all my laid-off friends find jobs. Anyone who can take advantage of the slowdown should. I still predict a Double Dip in the economy. The stock market is not at the bottom.

Thank you to the staff and volunteers for running a good Anime Expo 2002 convention. I like to thank con security for helping me recover my sunglasses. Anime Expo 2002 is the 10th anime convention I attended. I don't know if that's good or bad :-) Next year the anime conventions are packed together. June 20-23 is Fanime Con 2003 and July 3-6 is Anime Expo 2003.

I purchased the Neon Genesis Evangelion Perfect Collection. I can't get tired watching the series over and over again. I can't wait to purchase End of Evangelion and Death And Rebirth. At Anime Expo 2002, the DVD promos from the major corporations contained one full sample anime series episode. That's a first for me. For future conventions, it's worth getting the promos.

Here is important information for anime fans. Please don't leave children in the car. A laid-off worker was found guilty of manslaughter for leaving his baby in the car and watched anime in his brother-in-law's house.

Those who live in California, watch out for the California Highway Patrol's white Chevrolet Cameros or Ghosts. Don't underestimate the 300+ horsepower, V8 engines with a 2 inch high siren bar.

I visited Japantown and Musee Mechanique in San Francisco with a couple of friends in August. Due to a shortage on time, the visit to Japantown was brief. I hope I find time to revisit Japantown before December. Musee Mechanique is a museum of arcade games from the early 1900s to today. The museum closes in September and I think the museum relocates at Pier 43.

What are my planned activities for the rest of the year? One is I'm almost done completing the in-class JavaScript exercises. I'm redoing the exercises because I finished reading two JavaScript books. When I'm done, I'm going to learn XML and increase my knowledge in Windows XP.

Another activity is visiting Twin Creeks in Sunnyvale, California. Every Monday during Autumn 2001, I played softball with my co-workers. I like to visit the park and swing a bat at the batting cages one more time. Indirectly related, I like to watch more Monday Night Football. With Al Michaels and John Madden, Monday Night Football should be enjoyable again.

Lots of updates: Anime Expo 2002 pictures, An Anime Fan is An Anime Fan 3.0, added new links and deleted dead links, updated my mythical stock portfolio, photo album includes thumbnails and a new photo at Pacific Bell Park, and the latest resume. There is an addition to the Stories, Lists, Jokes, Tid-Bits page.

To view past updates, visit Update Archives. The next update is in December. Thank you for visiting my web page.

Update between 05/26/02 and 02/23/02:

It's approaching the middle of 2002. When is the economy going to recover? It's definitely not in 2002. Is the Economy going to Double Dip? In other words, is the Gross Domestic Product going negative like in the 4th Quarter 2001? In my opinion, the answer is yes--there is a good chance. What's driving the economy today? Consumer spending and housing.

2002 has been a fast year. The exception is the month of March. March went by really slow. April and May were really fast. Perhaps, 2002 should go by fast because many of us want the economy to recover and to create opportunities.

For the last six months, I am self-teaching myself JavaScript. I read a book and I'm doing simple exercises. I recently took a course on JavaScript. I plan to start learning XML in June.

Between late April and May, I attended a San Francisco Giants game. The game I attended Barry Bonds hit two home runs into McCovey Cove. I experienced my first Swedish Massage. And I attended Fanime Con 2002. Thank you to the staff and volunteers for running a good convention.

Looking ahead, there is Anime Expo 2002 Thursday July 4 to Sunday July 7. There is a possibility of a weekend trip to Santa Barbara. And I plan to watch Star Wars Episode II.

I finally finished watching Cowboy Bebop. That's a good series. I also watched Ah! My Goddess. And I'm starting to watch Love Hina.

The updates include pictures from Fanime Con 2002 located in the Anime Gallery with thumbnails. The Mythical Stock Portfolio is updated. (Are we finally making money?) There are more links, more Anime CDs, and two new additions in the Stories, Lists, Jokes, Tid-Bits page.

To view past updates, visit Update Archives. The next update is in August. Thank you for visiting my web page.

Update between 02/23/02 and 09/15/01:

(Before I begin, I want to inform the changes for the Update. The past Updates were shorten because the Updates were boring and long. On September 15, 2001, I devoted the Update page to September 11, 2001. Starting now, I archieve my Updates which can be seen at Update Archives and the Update takes the entire area. It's O.K. to skip and view the web pages for anyone who finds the Update boring. The links to the web pages are on the left.)

Where should I start? It's been a long time since the last update. The year 2001 went really fast. The year was interesting and unforgettable. For me, there were more down days than up days; however, I learned a lot from the down days. Perhaps, that's a consolation.

2001 was a year I never rested. The economy was declared in a recession retroactive to March. I did a ton of activities including Fanime Con, Anime Expo, Reno, and San Diego during the Spring and Summer. I played softball in the Fall. I injured my left eye when I misjudged a fly ball. I stopped playing role-playing games indefinitely. I attended my first Golden State Warriors basketball game in December. And I never got sick in 2001 which is a record.

Unfortunately, the beginning of 2002 I have been resting in bed. I was sick with bronchitis in January and the flu in February. I have watched my expenses since Christmas. When is the economcy going to turn around? In my opinion, wait for at least 2003.

Talking fun activities, I watched Saber Marionette J. That's a good series. During Christmas, I purchased the Cowboy Bebop DVD box set. How many episodes did I watched? As of the update, I watched five episodes. How sad. (By the way, I'm sure many anime fans know AD Vision announced a Neon Genesis Evangelion DVD box set.) As for video games, I purchased a GameBoy Advanced and cheap Sega Dreamcast games including Evolution: The World of Sacred Device. I know the video game is one of the less well known RPG game, but it's the first RPG game I played. And for exercise, I now go to the gym at nights because there are fewer people.

What are the web page updates? September 11, 2001 and PC 101 are the new web pages. The major updates include correcting the errors for the Sailor Moon RPG modified combat rules, the First Aid Kit is easier to read, minor revision for An Anime Fan is an Anime Fan, and new images. There are more links in the links pages. The mythical stock portfolio is updated (and the portfolio went up).

To repeat, to view past updates, visit Update Archives. The next update is after Fanime Con 2002. Thank you for visiting my web page.

Update between 09/15/01 and 07/22/01:

Visit September 11, 2001.

Update between 07/22/01 and 04/22/01:

Thank you to the people of Anime Expo 2001 who ran their 10th anniversary convention. I enjoyed all four days and there was plently of activities. Other summer activities include Reno, San Diego, and playing my final role-playing games as one of us moves to Washington in September.

I mentioned 2001 is a very fast year. The year slowed in late April and May, but when summer started, it went as fast as light speed. I forecast the economy to pick up speed beginning in 2002. It's time to prepare for next year, but enjoy the summer and take advantage of the slowdown.

There are minor updates to my web page. Remember to drink water during the hot days and find time to read a book. Thank you for visiting my web page. The next scheduled update is before Christmas.

Update between 04/22/01 and 01/28/01:

2001 is a very fast year so far. It's like my last update was yesterday. As the middle of 2001 approaches, what is the outlook? The economy is slowing down, but I don't think we are in a recession. Also, the San Jose Sharks lost a disappointing game 6 against the St. Louis Blues.

Thank you to the people of Fanime Con 2001 who ran a good convention. All your hard work is worth it. I did not spend a lot of money which is good, but for Anime Expo 2001, uh oh.

Major changes and new additions are completed including a new home page, an Anime Gallery, new pictures, more links, and an improved site map. I anticipate my next update before July. Thank you for visiting my web page.

Update between 01/28/01 and 12/06/00:

Happy New Year. Starting now, the updates are going to be shorter. I notice the updates are taking lots of room on my home page. If anyone wants to skip the updates, click the link above.

So far, everything is going pretty well. No diasters, except for the rolling blackouts. Super Bowl XXXV is today. There are minor edits today, but the next update after Fanime Con 2001 (March 30-April 1), there are going to be major changes and new additions.

Thank you for visiting my web page.

Update between 12/06/00 and 09/04/00:

Happy holidays. Mathematically speaking, 2001 is the millennium. I'm looking forward to 2001 to be an exciting year. 2000 was a so-so year. The year went by really fast, and I had a lot of first experiences such as attending my first 49ers game and tasting Japanese curry.

Another first was running a Salior Moon Role Playing Game (RPG). After two years having the book, I finally ran my first (and most likely only) Sailor Moon adventure. Anyone interested in my first adventure and my modified combat rules, please visit the Sailor Moon RPG.

Major editing are all my links, Anime Fan, and my site map. The new stuff are Rents in Silicon Valley, Technology Links page, and two new favorite lists including exercepts from Jerry Seinfeld's book SeinLanguage.

Thank you for visiting my web page. My next update is sometime in February or March 2001.

Update between 09/04/00 and 07/07/00:

I'm probably one of the few people who is glad Summer 2000 is over. Minor back pain, crappy vacation and being sick at least a month can ruin anyone's summer. My minor back pain was gone before Anime Expo 2000, there is 2001 for Anime Expo, and I fully recovered my two for one sickess consisting of a sinus infection and Broncitus. I'm coming back to my normal, daily routine. (Normal?!?)

My web page has new stuff. More links, updated Resume, new Top Ten, more Anime CDs, a easier Site Map to navigate, the latest to my Mythical Stock Portfolio, and a new addition to the Lists. New stuff are Tandem Chess and the housing market in Silicon Valley (anyone have $500,000 for a 2,000 square feet home or $10,000 a month for an apartment?).

Yes (and finally), I'm going to re-read the Sailor Moon RPG. I don't know if I'm ready to run in Fall 2000, but any tips and suggestions on running the Sailor Moon RPG I share the information on my web page. Also, I'm going to continue Visual Basic.

The next update is going to be in December 2000. Thank you for visiting. I hope everyone has a great Fall 2000 leading to the new Millennium.

What I have done between 07/07/00 and 05/28/00:

I got sick after returning from Anime Expo 2000. I'm blaming the unseasonally cold temperature for my sickness because I left the windows fully opened such that I got used to the open windows when the weather at night was warm. What a vacation, and this is my first long vacation after college. (I broke a personal record of not getting sick for 14 months.)

The Anime Expo 2000 staff did a good job despite Disneyland shutting down the midnight video rooms and, essentially, giving the staff a hard time to run a good convention. I hope Anime Expo 2001 is back at the Anaheim Hilton where the facilities are bigger and not spread out. Perhaps, the programming can improve. Anyone who constantly complained about Anime Expo 2000, don't attend next year. Go to the anime convention in Baltimore, Mayland.

Because of my sickness, there are no major additions and updates. The latest additions are two new lists and more links. The minor edits are Version 1.1 of Anime Fan is an Anime Fan and my Mytical Stock Portfolio. The next update I'm going to include the housing situation in Silicon Valley and how to play four player chess. Thank you for visiting my web page.

What I have done between 05/28/00 and 04/24/00:

Anime Expo 2000 takes place June 30, 2000 to July 3, 2000. The week of July 3, 2000 is my first long vacation from work rather than the one day and two days I take off in the past.

To move forward in life, people must swallow the hurt, accept things, and move on when people experience pain physically, mentally, and emotionally. It's not easy, not quick, but it's a must if people want to live life.

There are minor updates to some of my pages including more links, more lists, and a Card Captor Sakura update. Thank you for visitng my web page. Be patient, and go for the long run.

What I have done between 04/24/00 and 03/02/00:

My web page. New: Stories I wrote improving my writing, new lists and a dictionary, and Silicon Valley. Major Edits: Top Ten, Anime Links. Minor Edits: Quotes, Stock Portfolio.

Outside my web page. I want to finish Visual Basic as soon as possible. Like many others and some people who know Visual Basic, they experienced periods of boredom and "not feeling like" studying. That makes me feel better because I have experience those. I'm on Chapter 8 for about a month. As for work, it's going. Nothing really new. And I got a chance to rollerblade a couple of times in the past month.

I have not forgotten the Sailor Moon RPG. As it looks, the Sailor Moon RPG may start in Fall 2000. Those who want to play, I strongly suggest to find someone else or start a group.

Finally finally, please remember to make the best out of every situation in life. Thank you for visiting my web page.

What I have done between 03/02/00 and 02/20/00:

Two quick announcements for anime fans. First, Fanime Con 2000 was a great event. I thank Fanime Con board of directors, staff, and the volunteers for a good convention. And second, Silicon Valley's KTEH Public Television Channel 54 is premiering Neon Genesis Evangelion beginning Sunday March 5 at 9:00 P.M. and Ranma 1/2: The Movie Big Trouble in Nekonron, China Sunday March 12 at 9:30 P.M. Urusei Yatsura resumes Sunday March 26 at 9:30 P.M.

What I have done between 02/20/00 and 12/27/99:

Happy belated New Year and Happy belated Chinese New Year--The Year of the Dragon. Everyone survivied the Y2K scare.

Quickly speaking: Fanime Con 2000 takes place at the Santa Clara Convention Center and Westin Hotel Thursday February 24, 2000 to Sunday February 27, 2000. I hope to start preparing the Sailor Moon RPG in Summer 2000. Visual Basic self-training is slow, but I'm proceeding. Work is going O.K. My next big feature for my web page is Living in Silicon Valley (whenever it comes I don't know). Otherwise, I'm doing all right, and the updates are minor and I included a site map.

What I have done between 12/27/99 and 08/29/99:

Update is unavailable.

What I have done between 08/29/99 and 08/14/99:

It seems I'm updating my web page constantly which can be good or can be bad; fortunately, the latest updates does not take lots of time. Otherwise, it is work and finding time to relax. The last two work weeks were demanding. I'm really tired when I get home. I want to relax and do easy stuff.

Minor ending and adding new content to the links page.

What I have done between 08/14/99 and 06/26/99:

Anime Expo '99 was great. The convention was worth my vacation time. With the exception of the registration line, I enjoyed the convention including the masquerade, dealers room, video rooms, and meeting my anime friends. I spent lots of money, but I did not spend my entire budget.

The Sailor Moon RPG is on hold. In other words, wait till next century. I am very sorry to those who wanted to play the Sailor Moon RPG. (The Sailor Moon RPG I'm running is NOT on-line.) The factors are many which include work, work, training, work, family obligations, anime, daily activities, and weekly activities. I was close such that I have character sheets and the first adventures outlines, but not close enough.

Speaking of RPG, I have played very little in the past three months. Very unfortunate. It seems my friends who were veterans at RPG are correct. I denied when my friends told me I'm going to play less RPG when I graduate college. I did not want to admit because I enjoyed RPG, but when an RPG player has new responsibilities and new interests, RPG is set aside. In all honestly, finding time for me to play RPG is hard; for example, I needed one month to update my web page. Regarding the Sailor Moon, I can definitey say as long as I am a Sailor Moon Fan, I remember the Sailor Moon RPG.

My Microsoft Access self-training and learning Microsoft Access is progressing well. I have took two training courses, and there is a possibility I am going to take more training courses in November. Anyone planning a career in databases, research, or the like I suggest one learns basic Microsoft Access. Knowing Access can open doors.

There was a major change in my Research Department. My supervisor who hired me at my first job and at my current job resigned again. The resignation is permanent such that he and his family lives in Australia. Currently, the Research Department has its work cut out, but projects, weekly duties, and monthly duties are being completed with highest effort.

Thank you for waiting for my web page update. I added new pages such as a First Ait Kit, edited many web pages, and renamed many web pages. The Links Page is updated and easier to use. Please note the graphics has not change--well, there was really no graphics; however, some pictures were deleted which were minor. I am going to make minor changes in the next two to three weeks which includes spelling errors and updates. Enjoy.

What I have done between 06/26/99 and 05/16/99:

Anime Expo '99 takes place July 16, 1999 through July 18, 1999 at Anaheim, California. This is my first time attending. And this is my first vacation from my career. The next update is after Anime Expo '99.

Nothing really has happened to me. I recovered from my illness. I am going to work and putting 40 hours of hard work and experience. The weekends are relaxing.

Otherwise, I'm trying to find time finishing the Sailor Moon RPG, a slow progress. The second prototype character sheets are complete. I need to complete the combat rules and the first adventures.

The latest updates are new links, updating my mythical stock portfolio, a new top ten list, and updating the Sailor Moon RPG.

What I have done between 05/16/99 and 03/02/99:

What I have done between 03/02/99 and 12/14/98:

Christmas Vacation was great. It was a time off from work and other daily activities; unfortunately I did not update my web page. I did all my Christmas Shopping on 12/18/98. I spent lots of money and I actually enjoyed the shopping--given I spent lots for myself.

I like rainy days. My area received quality rainy days, but not quantity rainy days. I had days where I did not wear a jacket and nights I did not use my heavy blanket.

My current activities have remained consistent: watching anime, gym at least twice a week, read books and newspapers, playing role-playing games, keeping up with the Economy, and work. In the next three months I want to do the following: watch a couple of movies, visit Nickle City, update my web page more often, play Sailor Moon Role Playing Game, read more books, rollerblade, and learn how to play X-Men characters and Mavel characters in X-Men vs. Street Fighter and Mavel vs. Street Fighter, respectively. The sad part is I don't think I can accomplish all of those soon. I wish I had more time for myself.

I accepted a new position at Colliers International. Colliers International is a rival commercial real estate firm with Grubb & Ellis (my last job) and other commercial real estate firms, especially in Silicon Valley. I was hired by my former supervisor who hired me at Grubb & Ellis and left Grubb & Ellis in November 1998. The new position has better growth potential, shorter commute, higher salary, and better working environment. In short, it's a better job. I hope I do well.

Finally, my web page. The new stuff are plently for which I hope the web surfer enjoys. I included more pictures, more pages, additional links and easier to browse links, additional Economics, a photo album, more lists, and much more. I edit content and updated my stock portfolio. Graphics, other html goodies I need to learn, additioal content, and additional pages are needed to jazz up my web page. In the meantime enjoy my web page and look for minor changes.

First Update (A Little Bit After March 4, 1998):

I became interested in creating my own web page after learning Microsoft's Powerpoint and knowing HTML adds technical background enhancing my resume. I signed up on www.geocities.com where anyone can create a web page free.

Please listen to a piano piece as the surfer looks at my web page index. The piano music lasts about two minutes. Credit and source: www-old.ircam.fr/sons/archives/MIDI/.
