1. Prepare The Pan
- Take a medium size cookie pan or similar and cover with aluminum foil.
- The size of the pan used in the example is 14 inches length and 12 inches width.

2. Take The French Bread And Prepare To Cut
- Hold the French Bread perpendicular to the chopping board.

3. Cut The French Bread In Half
- Use a jagged knife and cut the French Bread in half.

4. Cut French Bread Into Pieces
- Cut the French Bread in 1 inch pieces.
- Place the cut pieces on the cookie pan covered with aluminum foil.

5. Put Butter On The Pieces Of French Bread
- Place pieces of butter on top of the cut French Bread.
- Optional: Sprinkle garlic salt, add garlic pieces, and/or add other herbs and spices as desired.

6. Broil (Or Rather Toast) The French Bread
- Turn oven on to broil setting. You may turn on the oven to broil before you cut the bread to save cooking time.
- Insert the cookie pan with the French Bread in the oven to broil or toast.
- Don't close the oven door all the way. Allow a crack to keep an eye at all times. Don't leave.

7. Remove Toasted French Bread
- Some pieces of French Bread are going to be cooked in about 30 seconds. Remove the cooked pieces. These pieces are the closest to the heating element.

8. Rearrange Pieces And Cook To Completion
- The cooked French Bread are removed and the remaining French Bread are rearranged towards the center.
- Finish toasting the French Bread. Don't close the oven door all the way. Allow a crack to keep an eye at all times. Don't leave.
- Remove French Bread when finished. Cooking time is approximately 15-20 seconds.

- The French Bread is ready to eat.
