- If the Chinese Broccoli is too long to fit in the pot, then cut the broccoli in half.

- Clean the Chinese Broccoli with both hands.
- Move the Chinese Broccoli in the pot.
- The movement of the water removes the dirt from the Chinese Broccoli. Also wash the stem.

- When a piece of Chinese Broccoli is cleaned, place the cleaned Chinese Broccoli in another bowl.

- Assuming a right handed cutter, take the left hand and hold the stem part.

- Combine the halves together.
- Assuming a right handed cutter, take the left hand and hold bottom part of all of the halves.
- Then cut the Chinese Broccoli in pieces.
- Place the pieces in a new bowl.
- It's optional to cut the skin on the steams because it can be bitter after it's cooked.

7. Broil Water
- Fill a pot with 1/4 inch to 1/2 inch water.
- Heat pot on high temperature to broil water.

- The water is broiling.
- Add the Chinese Broccoli.

- Stir the Chinese Broccoli occasionally.
- The longer the Chinese Broccoli is cooked, the softer it becomes.
